Shivamogga: A 15 year old student was killed and five others were injured in an accident when a private bus fell off the Karemane Bridge on Thursday, April 2.
The deceased person has been identified as Akshay (15).
According to media sources, the bus from Shivamogga was on its way to Thrithahalli. The bus driver lost control when the bus was crossing the bridge. The bus landed upside down in the river. There were at least 35-40 passengers in the bus when the accident occurred. Injured persons have been taken to nearby hospitals.
The Theerthalli Rural Police have registered the case and investigation is on.
