St Aloysius College Higher Primary School Celebrates 71st Republic Day

Mangaluru: St Aloysius College Higher Primary School Kodailbail, Mangalore celebrated the 71st Republic day to commemorate the date when the constitution of India came into effect. The Chief guest of the day was Mrs. Ravi Prabha Shetty – a lecturer by profession . The other dignitaries on the dais were School Correspondent – Rev. Fr. Gerald Furtado SJ , Headmistress – Mrs. Philomena Lewis, Mr. Arvind Rao – Vice President of PTA . The programme began by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer. The National Flag was hoisted by the Headmistress – Mrs. Philomena Lewis. The National Anthem was sung with due reverence.

In her message the chief guest addressed the students about the information on Poornaswaraj , importance of the fundamental rules for a country and the basic necessity of having a Preamble and its meaning. On this day the latest introduced innovations in the country’s defence forces and their equipments followed by cultural diversities are telecasted to the public annually.

In his message the correspondent said about the fundamental rights are essential for our country and its importance. The significance of the day was highlighted The cultural programme that included patriotic songs, dances were feast to one’s eyes. The students of Standard III had anchored the programme. The programme was concluded by singing the national song . A large number of parents witnessed the programme.
