St Joseph Vaz ( Mangaluru South) Deanery Beginners’ Camp

Mangaluru : With the aim of introducing the thrust of Y.C.S “See – Judge – Act”, St Josph Vaz ( Mangaluru South) deanery organized “Beginners camp” on July 21, 2019 in St Sebastian English Medium School hall from 8.30 am to 1.30 pm. The programme began by invoking God’s blessings, followed by a creative inauguration that compared a life of a person to a bird.

M.P Noronha, lawyer and Secretary, Mangalore Diocesan Pastoral Parishad, being the chief guest stressed on how to be useful persons in today’s society and moreover how to be effective leaders so to build a new society. Fr J.B Saldanha, the Vicar Forane in his presidential message envisaged how important is to be a part of Y.C.S to develop one’s personality. The entire camp was conducted by Fr Rupesh Madtha, the diocesan Y.C.S director and his team. He gave information regarding Y.C.S yearly plan (2019-20) and in addition explained the functioning of cell meetings. Ice- breaking session was conducted by (Dexco) Y.C.S central council team.

Fr Shaun Rodrigues, deanery Y.C.S director welcomed the gathering, Ms Laila D’Souza, deanery animator proposed the vote of thanks and Mrs Smitha D’Souza, compered the programme. Animators of different parishes rendered their helping hand. About 95 students took active part in the camp. The Beginners camp came to an end with the celebration of Eucharist followed by sumptuous lunch.
