The chief guest of the programme Prof Dr K Byrappa Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University said, “The Co-operation of the teachers and their participation in your children studies will not only benefit your children but also benefit the school. The PTA makes a lot of difference in most of the schools.”

Recalling his school days, Byrappa said, “When we were studying, there were more than 75 students with one teacher. Sometimes when the teachers fell sick, it was very difficult to teach. A teacher can make a big difference in the life of students. A teacher can also make a big difference in the class, and I am a living example. A teacher can change the attitude and the future of the student. All the teachers are excellent in this school and I salute all the teachers for making the student’s well-disciplined citizens”.

Prof Byrappa congratulated the students who have secured distinction. He also congratulated the management and the teachers. He advised the teachers to allow the students to participate in extra-curricular activities and also take them to the nearest historical sites in DK and Udupi, which can be the best way of teaching. The present generation is very intelligent and has better understanding of the society.”

Top scorers were felicitated on the occasion. There was a cultural programme from the students.
