Suratkal all set to Welcome Rahul Gandhi – Moideen Bava
Mangaluru: “The Suratkal city is gearing up to receive the youth icon and the president of AICC Rahul Gandhi on March 20. The youth icon and future prime minister Rahul Gandhi will be taking part in the Janaashirvad yatra. He will be addressing the party workers at 4 pm at Suratkal. Prior to the stage programme, we are distributing the loan papers for 500 beneficiaries from the Minority community. Under the Pashu Bhagya scheme, Widows and poor beneficiaries will be given the documents”, said the MLA of Mangaluru North Constituency Moideen Bava in a press meet held at his office, MCC here on March 19.
Addressing the mediapersons MLA Bava said, “The programme will be held in Suratkal and the service road will be closed at 2:00 pm. Vehicles will pass through Honnakatte – Kana – Bala – Suratkal for two hours. Rahul Gandhi will address the gathering for half-an-hour. From Suratkal he will proceed to Jyothi Circle for the road show. No road show will be held at Suratkal.”
When asked about the Suratkal market, Bava said, “The DC and the concerned authorities have given the deadline to the vendors to shift by March 20. If the vendors will not be shifted the concerned authorities will take action. We have already given the contract for the construction of the new market”.
Surendra Kambali, Girish Alva and others were also present.
