Three Ganja Peddlers Arrested by Anti-rowdy Squad

Mangaluru: In two separate cases, the Mangaluru South Subdivision police arrested three persons and seized ganja from their possession on September 16.

The arrested have been identified as Farooq T P alias Goods Farooq (51) from Mangaluru, Abeed D (19) and Zubair (22) residents of Manjeswhwar, Kasargod.

In the first case, the police after getting reliable information about Farooq peddling ganja got into action and arrested Farooq TP alias Goods Farooq. The Police seized 3 KG of ganja worth Rs 30000, a white colour Breeza car worth Rs 6 lakhs, Rs 20030 cash and Mobile phone, all worth Rs 6.51 lakhs from his possession.

In the second case, the Police arrested Abeed D (19) and Zubair (22) from Manjeswhwar, Kasargod district while they were selling Ganja near Yashashwi hall, Arukula.

The Police seized 3 KG Ganja worth of Rs 45000, a Yamaha motorbike worth of Rs 50000 and three mobile phones worth Rs 50000 from their possession.

Under the direction of police Commissioner Dr P A Harsha and the guidance of DCP Law and Order Arunankshu Giri, DCP Crime Traffic Laxmi Ganesh and the able leadership of ACP T Kodandaram, the operation was carried out by the team of the anti-rowdy squad Ashok P and Janaki PSI Kankanady Rural Station, PSI H S Bhajanthri, Kumareshwaran and Manjula of Mangaluru Rural Station.
