Two-Day PGCET Training at Sahyadri

Mangaluru: A two-day PGCET Training Programme was organized by the Department of Business Administration of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management within the college premises for those students aspiring to join MBA under the government quota in B Schools of Karnataka. Around 300 graduates attended the training from various places like Bengaluru, Thirthahalli, Shimoga, Kumta, Madikeri, Kundapura, Udupi, and Bhatkal, besides the students of Mangaluru.

During the two days, sessions were primarily conducted in four areas – Quantitative Analysis, Reasoning & General Intelligence, General Knowledge & Proficiency in the English Language by CA Gopalakrishna Bhat (CEO of Siddhanth Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd and Founder of Trisha Group of Institutions), Mr. Vivekananda Kamath (Principal of Bransoft Academy, Brahmavara), Mr. Ankith S Kumar (Student Counselor), and Mr. Guru Prasad Rao (Dean-Branding & Promotion). The program also included a Mock Test to give students a hands-on experience about modus operand of PGCET. During the valedictory ceremony, the top 15 participants were awarded.

Chairman, Mr. Manjunath Bhandary addressed the students and urged them to refine their goals as they are stepping into a professional course and there should be clarity about their career. He also stressed on key skills especially communication that will make them an MBA graduate. The USP of the program was the take away in the form of “PGCET Practice Book”.  The programme was coordinated by Prof. Sushma V, Dept. of Business Administration.
