Udupi: Kiran Crasto and Leslie Arouza take charge as director for Labour and Family Commission

Udupi: Elroy Kiran Crasto took charge as the new director of Commission for Labour and Lesli Arouza, director of Commission for family on June 3 at the Bishop’s Chapel here.

Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, the Bishop of Udupi, administered and conducted the oath taking ceremony in short but meaningful prayer service.

Elroy Kiran Crasto who was the past president of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh took charge as the director of Labour commissions. Leslie Arouza who was assistant director of Family Commission took charge as the Director of the commission.

There are 18 Commissions in the Diocese working towards the implementation of the Pastoral Plan 2025. With this the number of lay leaders heading the diocesan commissions goes up to four. The other two commissions led by the laity are, the Women Commission and the Justice and Peace. Indeed it’s a matter of joy for the lay faithful of the Diocese of Udupi as they join hands with the diocesan clergy in the implementation of the Pastoral Plan 2025.

Fr Denis D’Sa PRO of Udupi Diocese, Fr Chethan Lobo editor Uzvaad fortnightly, Fr Stephen D’Souza director Commission for Bible, Cathechetics and Liturgy, William Machado president Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, Fr Fedrick D’Souza Parish Priest St Ann’s Church Thottam, Soloman Alvares and others were present.
