Udupi: Passenger Suffers Cardiac Arrest in Moving Bus, Dies

Udupi: A man died after he suffered a stroke in a moving bus heading from Karkala to Udupi on Monday, June 8.

The deceased has been identified as Gopal Naik (55), a resident of Guddeyangadi Bailuru.

According to the bus conductor, Gopal Naik boarded the bus at Guddeyangadi, Bailoor. He developed severe chest pain while the bus was on its way to Udupi passing through Manipal.

Naik soon collapsed. The bus crew immedeatly took the bus to the Udupi bus stand and informed Nithyanada Volakadu, secretary of Nagarika Vedike, Nithyanada rushed to the Udupi bus stand with an ambulance, by the time Gopal Naik had breathed his last. The body was then taken to the Government Hospital for an autopsy.
