In his message, SP Annamalai lauded the efforts of UDWJA for releasing the media stickers. “The stickers would be recognized easily leaving no room for confusion. Police will also keep track of the media sticker through an identification system. It would help sort out various problems, especially when VVIPs leaders visit the city.” He appealed to the journalists to make use of those stickers.

Three signals are operating based on traffic density in important places of the city like Karavali Junction, Bannaje and Kalsanka. The police is in constant touch with civic authorities on issues that add to traffic woes such as narrow roads, lack of footpaths and drains, he added.

Speaking about the naxal activities, the SP said that naxal activities were under control and their number has reduced considerably. “Strict vigilance is being maintained on the movements of the naxalites in Hebri, Shankernarayana and Someshwar region. Combing operations are on in the affected areas,” he said.

District information and broadcasting officer K Rohini, UDWJA president Jayakar Suvarna, Secretary Ganesh Prasad Pandelu, Press Club convener Chethan Padubidiri and others were present.
