Udupi: A Tamil Nadu origin woman was arrested by the Kaup police on suspicion here on February 15
The arrested has been identified as Roza, a native of Tamil Nadu.
According to Kaup police, the woman attended a wedding at Halima Sabju Hall at Udyavar. Roza was moving around suspiciously. The guests at the marriage function noticed her acting in a unusual manner and questioned her.
Roza without responding to their questions fled from the hall, the guests followed her and finally caught her. Later Roza was handed over to Kaup police. The guests who were following Roza saw her throwing a purse which she was carrying.
During interrogation Roza said that she was hungry and had gone to the hall to have lunch. She also said that she did not have any intention of harming anyone.
