Uflex Q2 net profit up by 20 percent

New Delhi, Nov 2 (IANS) Flexible packaging company major Uflex on Monday posted an increase of 20 percent in its net consolidated profit at Rs. 78 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, as against Rs.65 crore last year.

Consolidated total revenue, however, declined by 7.8 percent at Rs.1,535 crore in the timeframe under review as compared to Rs. 1,665 crore for the same period during last year.

During the April-September timeframe, the firm’s consolidated total revenue stood at Rs.3,140 crore vis-a-vis Rs.3,201 crore for the corresponding period last year.

In the similar six months, net profit increased by 19 percent to Rs. 154 crore as against Rs. 129 crore for the same period in 2014-15.

“With the new Aseptic Packaging Plant for packing liquid products that will go operational in the first half of 2017 at Sanand in Gujarat, we will complete the entire bouquet of product offering which at present spans across solids, semi solids, pastes, gels, viscous fluids, powders and granular materials,” company chairman and managing director, Ashok Chaturvedi said in a statement.
