Undertrial flings footwear at judge for refusing bail
Hubballi: A man accused in an assault case threw footwear at the Second Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class (JMFC) judge here on Saturday as the judge refused to grant him the bail.
Under trial Sharif Basavaraj Kampli (24) flung the sandals at the magistrate Vishwanath Moga. The footwear did not hit the presiding officer.
The court’s bench clerk has registered a case against Sharif at the Sub-Urban Police station for insulting the judge. The matter will now be decided by the High Court.
