Youth Arrested by EOND Police for Peddling Drugs
Mangaluru: Economic offense and Narcotic Drugs Police have arrested a youth while he was peddling drugs near Canara Ice and Cold Storage Kudroli on October 13.
The arrested has been identified as Anees Ashraf (19), from Kudroli.
According to the EOND police, on October 13, Anees was selling ganja packed in small packets near the Canara Ice and Cold Storage Kudroli. The EOND police got into action and arrested Anees and seized 270 grams of Ganja worth Rs 6,700 and cash Rs 700 from his possession.
Under the able direction of Police commissioner T R Suresh, DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya, DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth and the able guidance of ACP CCRB Valentine D’Souza, the operation was carried out by the EOND Inspector Sheriff, Jagadish, Shaju Nair, Kishore Poojary and Bhaskar.
Lack of focus on education and family planning has resulted in overwhelming crime rates in a particular community. Sad.
