Mangaluru: In the wake of the sting operation conducted by Cobrapost and Gulail portals, the district unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has severely condemned the Sangh Parivar leaders’ spreading of the bogey of Love Jihad, thus creating fissures in the society.
It has also sought strict legal measures be initiated against them. It has said that sting operation has exposed the grand plan of the Parivar to defame the Muslim community, polarize the communities by spreading rumours about Love Jihad. Thereby the communal harmony is intended to be harmed, says Vasant Achary, district secretary of the party.
Three leaders of the BJP, including a sitting MLC, have been caught on camera revealing their plan of action. The MLC has gone to the extent of saying that 60% of the police force in the district belonged to the Parivar and hence even if a Congress government functioned in the state, the activities of the Parivar will go on without any hitch. The state government has a duty to make clear its stand in this matter, he says.
The people are facing insecurity because of the statements made by those leaders in the sting operation, he further says.
