Volunteers cleaned Nanthoor Main circle which was full of weeds and mud. The circle which stands like an entrance to Mangalore city was like an eye sore due to poor maintenance. The weeds were removed using grass cutting machine and the mud and other garbage was removed using JCB & tipper. The circle adorns a beautiful look now.

Almost three road dividers along the National Highway were cleaned by the volunteers and students from Govt. First Grade College off the long grass and weeds. Garbage that was dumped in the area was also removed by the volunteers.

The Bus shelter near Nanthoor Circle wore an ugly look due to the posters stuck on the walls and the garbage dumped in the shelter. Volunteers washed the bus shelter, removed the unwanted posters, cleaned and painted the shelter giving a much needed face lift.

Volunteers also distributed handbills on Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan to generate awareness among the localites in the area.

MRPL, Principal Patron of the event sponsored the drive.
