Abandoned Fishing Boat found at Baikampady
Mangaluru: A boat was found abandoned at sea at Baikampady here on September 4.
At around 4:00 pm, a boat, named John Lawrence was found abandoned in the sea at Baikampady. The cabin of the boat has been fully damaged. It is suspected that the boat must have drifted from the South.
Speaking to mangalorean.com CEO, promoter Panambur beach Tourism development project, Yathish Baikampady said, “At around 3:00 pm, lifeguards who were on the duty, noticed a fishing boat sinking at the Panambur beach. They immediately informed the coastguards and the police”.
The boat may have drifted from the South. It is suspected that the boat which was anchored, due to the tides may have drifted. It is a fishing boat and not in use. The cabin of the boat has been totally damaged.
