ASP Krishnakath Raids Gambling Den at Nittur, 14 arrested
Udupi: A team led by Krishnakanth ASP Karkala on Friday, May 31 night raided a gambling den in Nittur and arrested 14 members on charges of gambling. Two cars, 5 motorcycles, 6 mobiles and Rs 80,680 cash was seized during the raid.
The arrested have been identified as Krishna (30) resident of Malpe, Rajesh (30) Katapadi, Manoj (29) Kodankoor, Jagadeesh Kundar (44) Kodavoor, Akshay Erappa Kattagi (22) Nittur, Srinivasa (25) Nittur, Naveen Kumar (35) Ambalapadi, Ningappa Chalavadi (24), Mukthum Hussain (35), Sujith (29), Krishna (25) and Bannanje, Shanker Kotian.
Acting on a tip of, the team led by Krishnakanth ASP Karkala raided a house in Nittur, Udupi and arrested 14 accused. The police team seized two cars, 5 motorcycles, 6 mobiles and Rs 80,680 cash during the raid. The sized items are estimated to be worth Rs 13. 41 lakhs.
The arrested persons along with the seized items have been handed over to the Udupi police station for further investigation.
