Blast in Car near Kadri Park – Experts from Bengaluru to Probe
Mangaluru: A blast had taken place in a red Swift car owned by bus operator Maxwell Monteiro from Ashoknagar on Monday.
He and his wife had come to visit the Jogi Math and to view the Kadri caves. When he was locking the car by using the remote control of the central locking system, the blast had taken place.
Monteiro had suspected foul play resulting from a possible business rivalry. Investigations by local police could not make a breakthrough because of lack of technology.
A team from Bengaluru is said to be arriving to investigate into the cause of the blast.
