CCB Sleuths Seize Counterfeit Currency Notes from a 25-year-old Youth

 
Mangaluru: The CCB sleuths have arrested a 25-year-old youth on the charges of attempting to circulate counterfeit currency notes that were found in his possession. The arrested person is Prashwith, a resident of Manjeshwar in Kerala. According to Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal, acting on a tip-off that a man was trying to circulate counterfeit currency notes in the Kankanady area, the police conducted a raid and arrested him.

“He had eight counterfeit currency notes with the face value of Rs 500 (three), Rs 200 (two) and Rs 100 (three). The person had already circulated Rs 8000 to Rs 9000 counterfeit currency in the last few days. Along with the notes, the police confiscated a mobile phone worth Rs 10,000 and regular cash of Rs 4250. The person is in custody for more interrogation” added the Police Commissioner.
