Complaint filed against Prof Bhagawan for Hurting Sentiments of Hindus

Udupi: A complaint has been filed against prof Bhagawan at Udupi Town Police Station for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus and also Kannadigas by making controversial statements on Hindu Religion and also River Cauvery.

Ravi Shetty president of Karnataka Karmika Vedike filed a complaint in the Udupi Town Police Station on October 4 which stated that Prof Bhagawan has repeatedly issued statements that have hurt the sentiments of Hindus. He is continuously hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindu Community.

“Bhagawan had made derogatory references to Hinduism and Hindu Gods. He had spoken ill against the Ramayana and the Mahabharata and also the Hindu Gods and made disparaging remarks about Lord Rama. The remarks have hurt the sentiments of Hindus and were also against the law and a punishable offence”.

“Prof Bhagwan is making anti-Hindu statements one after another. Recently he had hurt the sentiments of Kannadigas by making an anti-Karnataka statement on River Cauvery. The Police should take immediate action and arrest him”, he demanded.
