Now, William D’Souza has come forward in requesting the Union Government to extend the facility of visa on arrival at Mangaluru International Airport, which will bring in lots of foreign tourists to Mangaluru.. This will also boost the medical tourism to Mangaluru since many citizens of Middle East, Sri Lanka and Maldives are now visiting Mangaluru for medical treatment. In a letter to MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and also a letter addressed to MP Shobha Karandalaje from Udupi district on the subject matter. The contents of the letter is as follows:

Dear Hon’ble Shri Nalin Kumarji and Shobhaji,

We learn that The Union Government is planning to extend the visa on arrival facility to some more airports to boost the tourism into India. I request you to kindly request the Union Government to extend the facility of visa on arrival at Mangaluru International Airport, which will bring in lots of foreign tourists to Mangaluru. This will boost the medical tourism to Mangaluru since many citizens of Middle East, Sri Lanka and Maldives are now visiting Mangaluru for medical treatment. This will be a great boon to our Dental College since the Dental treatment abroad is very expensive and most of the insurance companies do not cover the dental treatment for its client. Further, this will bring in investments in business/industries and real estate.

Thanking you and looking forward to your kind recommendation to the Union Government at the earliest.

With respectful kind regards,

William D’Souza, for Globe Travels

A copy of the letter has been also forwarded to:
R.V. Desphande, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Bangalore;
The Deputy Commissioner’s, Mangaluru and Udupi;
The President, Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industries; and to The President, CREDAI, Mangaluru.

If the Union Government approves this request, it will be yet another feather in the cap for Globe Travels for their initiative in providing various travel needs for the people traveling abroad, and also for foreigners visiting India/Mangaluru.
