Hare Rama Hare Krishna! ISKCON Kudupu Katte to Host 13th Sri Jagannath Ratha Yatra
Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Smitha Krishna Das, the Vice President of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON)-Kudupu, Mangaluru said, ” ISKCON, Sri Jagannath Mandir Kudupu Katte, Mangaluru will be organising “Sri Jagannath Rathayatra” on 5th January 2019 for the 13th time, with hundreds of devotees from around the world taking part. It is explained in Brahmanda Purana that those who watch the Rathotsava parade, those who stand up to welcome the Ratha with reverence, all of them are freed from sinful reactions and they attain the kingdom of God”.
He further said, “The Rathotsava will start at 2.00 p.m. on Saturday the 6th January 2019, Near C.V. Nayak Hall, and will proceed through Bunts Hostel Circle, via Jyothi Circle, Hampankatta, K. S. Rao Road, City Point, P.V.S Circle and culminates at C.V. Nayak Hall, Bunts Hostel Circle at 6.30 p.m. All the citizens of Mangaluru city are welcomed to participate in this glorious event with their family and friends and experience the divine bliss”. Prema Bhakta Das- Secretary and Sreeraj- Council member were also present during the press meet.
2-00 p.m: Ratha Yatra Inauguration
3-00 pm: Rathyatra begins
6-30 p.m: Rathayatra returns to CV naik hall.
7-00 p.m: Pravachana
7-30 p.m: Maha Arathi followed by Mahaprasad
