Kudla Boys Anup D’Costa and Ashwal Rai to play for Blessen George Memorial Volley Ball Tournament

Kuwait: Blessen George Foundation International (BGFI) in Association with Kuwait Volleyball Association (KVA) is organizing a colourful Volleyball Tournament in Kuwait. Our Kudla boys Anup D’Costa and Ashwal Rai who made us proud by representing Indian National Senior Team and Junior Volley Ball teams played in many international tournaments. This BGFI tournament will be held from May 10 to 12, 2017 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday respectively) from 6:00 pm onwards at the Fahaheel Sporting Club’s Indoor Stadium in Mangaf. Entry for the tournament is absolutely free.

Anup D’Costa, a native of Kundapur presently working for the Income Tax, Hyderabad is a star attraction in the tournament. He has represented U21 and U23 FIVB World Cup in Tehran, Iran and Turkey. He was judged the best scorer of the World Cup tournament. He has also represented the Indian National Senior Team and Karnataka State Team. He plays in the Universal Attacker position, with his fabulous jump and attacking capacity, to watch him in action is a feast to the eyes of volleyball fans. Karnataka Government recently awarded him the prestigious “Ekalavya Award” for his contribution in Volleyball.

Ashwal Rai, 202 cms tall native of Beltangady, is one of the best Center Blocker/attacker in the country. He represented India in U23 FIVB World Cup held in Myanmar. Ashwal Rai is also a part of Karnataka State Volley Ball team.

The tournament will witness the presence of Kuwait National Team and Indian National team players Naveen Jacob Raja (Jump Server Specialist), Vaishnav (India’s Number one Center blocker), Ukkrapandian (India’s Number One setter) will also be playing in the tournament. Kerala State level players like Jose Jacob and Sarath, Tamil Nadu state players Piraisoodan and Prabhakaran are also playing for Boubyan Strikers Kuwait.

The Mangaf Indoor Stadium has comfortable seating arrangements. Family audience and bachelors will be provided separate seating arrangements. Large Car parking space is available outside the Stadium. Refreshment stall will be available throughout the Tournament.

Volleyball is one of the most attractive and thrilling games to watch, and the matches of BLESSEN GEORGE MEMORAIL VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT 2017, in which six star-packed Teams from India and Kuwait compete in the high voltage drama of passion and intensity displaying sublime skills of thunderous smashes, awesome airy duels, powerful serves, intelligent placements flowed from silken touches, lightning returns, and impenetrable blocks, inspired by an unyielding spirit and irrepressible determination, promises three days of pulsating moments and absolute entertainment for the Volleyball and sports lovers in Kuwait.
