Kuwait Kannada Koota holds Annual Talent Show ‘Marala Mallige’

Kuwait: Kannada Koota organized its annual talent show “Marala Mallige”, at the Carmel School Auditorium here on May 6.

Every year, KKK conducts Marala Mallige (Jasmine flowers in the desert) to bring out the hidden talents from the children as well as adult members of the Koota.

The programme began with an invocation. Convener of Marala Mallige Ullas Vadana welcomed the gathering. President of the Koota Sudhir Shenoy and other members of the executive committee inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp.

Children exhibited their talents in the form of singing, enacting, story-telling and cat-walk by tiny tots. It was a real sight to watch these children performing with effortless ease.

All the events were judged by the judges who were very glad to see these children on the stage.

There was a ‘Treasure hunt’ for the youngsters who were smart enough to hunt the treasure. A quiz competition was conducted for elders identifying the famous personalities of Karnataka.

‘Gumpalli Govinda’, a group programme was also held, more than 50 KKK members participated in the competition, they were divided into four houses such as Kaveri, Sharavathi, Netravathi and Hemavathi. Each group performed beautifully, sending out a message to protect the environment and Unity in Diversity.

Children who participated in various competitions were given away prizes. Secretary of the Koota Deepak Katti delivered the vote of thanks.
