Lorry Collision Causes Egg Spill and Traffic Disruption Near Adyar
Mangaluru: A traffic incident on Monday near Adyar resulted in significant disruption after a lorry collided with an egg transport vehicle, causing its cargo to spill onto the roadway. The accident, which occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m., took place on the route from Farangipete towards Mangaluru, near Adyar Sahyadri College.
According to police reports, the egg transport vehicle was struck from behind by a lorry, leading it to mount the median and subsequently overturn. The impact caused extensive damage to the vehicle’s cargo, resulting in thousands of rupees worth of eggs being broken and scattered across the road surface.
Authorities have confirmed that there were no casualties reported as a result of the collision. However, the extensive spillage of eggs led to temporary traffic disruptions as emergency services and local authorities worked to clear the area. The cleanup operation involved removing broken eggs and debris from the road to restore normal traffic flow.
The incident is currently under investigation by local law enforcement to determine the circumstances leading up to the collision and to assess responsibility.
