Mangalore District Administration Pays Tribute to 2010 Air India Express Crash Victims

Mangalore: The district administration held a commemorative event on Thursday to mark the 14th anniversary of the tragic Air India Express plane crash that occurred at Mangalore International Airport on May 22, 2010. The solemn ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the 158 lives lost in the devastating incident.

Leading the commemoration was Dr. Anand K., the in-charge Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada. Dr. Anand, along with other dignitaries, paid his respects at the memorial erected in the dedicated park located on Kuloor-Tannirbavi Road. The park itself was established as a lasting tribute to the victims of the ill-fated flight.

The event was attended by prominent figures from the local government, including Mangalore City Corporation Commissioner Ravichandra Nayak and Pilikula Authority Commissioner Arun Kumar Shetty. Their presence signified the district administration’s unwavering dedication to honoring the memory of those who perished and providing support to their families.
