MRPL Announces Strong Financial Results for Q3 and 9M FY 2025-26

Mangalore: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a subsidiary of ONGC and a Schedule “A” Mini Ratna Category I Company, today announced its standalone and consolidated financial results for the third quarter (Q3 FY 2025-26) and nine months (9M FY 2025-26) ended December 31, 2025. The results were approved by the Board of Directors during its 272nd Meeting.

Financial Performance Highlights:
The company demonstrated robust financial performance across key indicators for both the third quarter and the nine months.

Third Quarter (Q3 FY 2025-26):
Revenue from operations reached ₹29,720 Crore, compared to ₹25,601 Crore in Q3 FY 2024-25.
Profit before Tax (PBT) surged to ₹2,214 Crore, a significant increase from ₹469 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Profit after Tax (PAT) stood at ₹1,445 Crore, substantially higher than the ₹304 Crore recorded in Q3 FY 2024-25.
The Debt-Equity Ratio improved from 0.79 as of September 30, 2025, to 0.63 as of December 31, 2025.

Nine Months (9M FY 2025-26):
Revenue from operations amounted to ₹76,661 Crore, slightly lower than the ₹81,676 Crore in 9M FY 2024-25.
Profit before Tax (PBT) was ₹2,786 Crore, a turnaround from the Loss before Tax of ₹471 Crore in the same period last year.
Profit after Tax (PAT) reached ₹1,812 Crore, a significant improvement from the Loss after Tax of ₹313 Crore in 9M FY 2024-25.
Total borrowings were reduced from ₹12,867 crore to ₹9,290 crore during the last nine months.
The Debt-Equity Ratio improved considerably from 0.99 as of March 31, 2025, to 0.63 as of December 31, 2025.

Physical Performance:
The company’s throughput (Crude + Others) was 4.60 MMT in Q3 FY 2025-26 compared to 4.70 MMT in Q3 FY 2024-25. For 9M FY 2025-26, the throughput was 13.54 MMT compared to 12.65 MMT in 9M FY 2024-25.

In October 2025, MRPL commenced storing crude oil in the Cavern Storage facility leased from M/s. ISPRL, Mangalore, subsequently began processing it in the refinery.
The company processed Sharir Mesla Crude from Libya (API~ 37.24) for the first time.

Awards and Recognition:
MRPL continued to receive significant recognition for its excellence in various fields:

The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) conferred the prestigious Export Excellence Awards to MRPL in two categories: “Five Star Export House Category” and “Highest Foreign Exchange Earner Category”.

The Journal of Supply Chain, in association with the Knowledge Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recognized MRPL’s digitization of the PR-to-PO process with the “Excellence in Digital Procurement Transformation” award at the India Supply Chain Summit 2025.

MRPL won the fourth successive Innovation Award 2024-25 for Best Innovation in Research & Development in Refining Technology at the 28th Energy Technology Meet (ETM 2025).

The company secured the “Legend (Emerging) Award” in the ‘Environment Improvement ‘Category at the ”19th Exceed Environment, CSR & HR Awards” supported by MOEF & CC.
