N Vishnuvardhan appointed New SP of Udupi
Udupi: Within a day of the transfer of Udupi SP, the state government has reshuffled the officers and appointed Bengaluru DCP (Administration) N Vishnuvardhan as the new SP of Udupi district on Janary 1.
N Vishnuvardhan is a 2015 batch IPS officer. He has worked as an additional SP in Udupi district three years ago. Later he served as ACP of Mysuru for one-and-half year and was then transferred to Bengaluru as DCP (Administration).
On December 31 night, the state government had appointed Hakay Akshay Machhindra Assistant Superintendent of Police Chincholi Sub-Division, Kalburgi District as the SP of Udupi district. As per the government order, Hakay Akshay arrived in Udupi on January 1 to take charge from outgoing SP Nisha James. On January 1 in a reshuffle of IPS officers, the state government advised Akshay not to take charge as SP in Udupi and appointed him as the New SP of Karkala Anti-Naxal force of Udupi district.
The outgoing superintendent of police (SP) of Udupi district Nisha James has been transferred with immediate effect as SP of Internal Security Division, Bengaluru.
