Six arrested for Rioting and spreading False rumours through Social Media
Mangaluru: After rumours that groups belonging to two different faiths were involved in clashes at Kilinja, the police got into action and arrested four persons in Vittal here on May 20.
The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Tamim (28), Abdul Rahiman (35), Mohammed Zakaria (25) and Sulaiman Vakaitturu (38).
All the four accused have been arrested under section 144 Crpc.
The police have also arrested Nithin (29) from Bantwal and Dinesh alias Dayanand (32) from Sullia. A case has been filed against Nitin and Dinesh for spreading false news to create communal hatred through the Social media under section 153 (a) and 295 (a).
