Sridhar S. Suvarna Bestowed with World Health Service Excellence Award

Mumbai: On the occasion of World Health Day, April 7th, 2026, Sridhar Sundar Suvarna was honored with the prestigious World Health Service Excellence Award. The accolade recognizes Mr. Suvarna’s exceptional social service and unwavering dedication to humanity.

A resident of Andheri (East), Mumbai, Mr. Suvarna distinguished himself through his remarkable contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic. He actively participated in social initiatives, including distributing food and essential supplies to those in need. Furthermore, he provided invaluable support to the families of patients admitted to hospitals and played a vital role in supporting vaccination drives alongside medical teams.

Mr. Suvarna’s selfless and compassionate endeavors have served as an inspiration to society, fostering a spirit of humanity and service. The South Kanara community has extended its heartfelt congratulations to him on this significant achievement. This award adds to the numerous accolades Mr. Suvarna received in the fourth quarter of 2025, further recognizing his ongoing commitment to social welfare.

Beyond his philanthropic work, Sridhar S. Suvarna is an Education Coach and the former editor of the Thiya Samaj Mumbai newsletter, ‘Thiya Belaku’.

The World Health Service Excellence Award was presented to Mr. Suvarna by Ecohug LLC, a global organization based in the United States of America.

World Health Day commemorates the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO). This year, governments, organizations, and communities worldwide united under the theme: “Together for health. Stand with science.” The focus underscored the critical importance of prioritizing scientific evidence, factual data, and research-driven solutions in public health policy and preparedness efforts.
