St Anthony’s Ashram Jeppu: Sixth-day Novena in preparation for the Feast of Relic of St Anthony

Mangaluru: Fr Peter Gonsalves the Parish Priest of St John Mary Vianny Church Bambil, celebrated the Holy Mass on the sixth day of the novena.

In his homily, Fr Gonsalves preached on the need of taking care of sick people. Ailing people suffer in various fronts. They suffer physically, socially and also the paucity of funds. At times after exhausting all means they remain helpless. For such people, there is hope. And the hope is Jesus. The Son of God when He became human He touched and healed many. He continues to do so even today through the holy men and women. St Anthony preached the word of God and healed many people in the name of Jesus. Fr Gonsalves called on the people to pray for the ailing people and also for those who take care of the sick.

Fr Thrishan D’Souza the Asst Director offered Holy Mass in the afternoon at the Ashram. Fr Onil D’Souza the Director of the Ashram conducted Rosary and Adoration. Fr Roshan D’Souza another Asst Director of the Ashram conducted the novena at 7.30 pm at the entrance gate of the Ashram.
