‘Ten Nine Eight’- a Workshop on Child Safety by St Aloysius College

Mangaluru: “Ten Nine Eight”, a Workshop on Child Safety was conducted. Child safety continues to be one of the most important issues we can address today. With the aim of spreading awareness about Abuse and Safety among young children, a single day workshop named “Ten Nine Eight (1098)” was conducted for students of lower and higher primary at Government Higher Primary School Kapikad, Mangaluru, on 31 August from 01:30 PM to 03:30 PM.

The event was initiated by the Final Year Students of Journalism, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, as a part of their academic activities. Sessions were handled by Dr. Roshni, Dr. Daren Mascarenhas and Medical Social Activist Ms. Jyothi Soans (all from Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru). Sessions focused on educating children about Good and bad touches, Understanding and reacting to abuse and Safety tips. Visual presentations and Fun activities were used to make learning easy and effective
