Journalist Arrested for Sexually Abusing Minor Boys in Byndoor
Kundapur: A Journalist from a reputed newspaper was arrested on the charges of sexually abusing minor school boys in the Byndoor Police Station Limits on Tuesday, November 27th night.
The arrested has been identified as Chandra K (40) a resident of Hemmady. He was working as a reporter for a news daily.
According to sources, the accused was sexually abusing minor boys. The accused was making friendship with minor school boys and later taking them to the forest area where he was sexually abusing them.
As per the information until now the accused has abused nearly 10 minor boys from the surrounding area. On Tuesday the father of a minor boy filed a complaint against Chandra. As per the complaint, the police have taken the case very seriously and personally questioned the victims and collected evidence against the accused. According to the statement of victims and evidence, the Police team arrested the accused from his residence on Tuesday, November 27 late night.
A case has been registered in the Byndoor Police under section 11 (1) and 12 of the POCSO Act.
