Mangaluru: Karnataka Komu Souhardha Vedike organized the national-level Convention Sahabalve Sagara at the City Town Hall here on January 30. The programme began with an invocation. General Secretary U H Ummer welcomed the gathering.

Addressing the gathering Baraguru Ramachandrappa said that the convention is held to bring communal harmony. He congratulated the organizers for organizing a unique programme to promote communal harmony among the people.
He further said that for bringing harmony among the people we need not lose our Principles. Social activists should stress people to follow Principles in life and also practice the same. Principles should not be limited to Maths, when they become Maths there is no growth. We should not give up our principles to bring communal harmony among people. India has unity in diversity and to create harmony among people in the society is a great task.
Today Gandhi was assassinated and on the same day the convention is being held. Rohit Vemula committed suicide, one is assassination and the another suicide both are murder of the Conscience ( Inner Voice).
When Godse was in the court to face charges on Gandhi’s assassination, he explained why he killed Gandhi, “Gandhi was always supporting Muslims and sacrificing a lot for their sake. Instead of calling Gandhi as the father of the nation Godse said to call him as the father of Pakistan. People who believe in Godse made him as their God and said that they will build a temple in his name. He not only said that he is the father of Pakistan but now if anyone talk about food culture Godse’s supporters say that they will send them to Pakistan. They are unable to send anyone to Pakistan but our own prime minister Narendra Modi went to Pakistan and created history.
Rohit Vemula committed suicide but now they are trying to mislead about which caste he belonged. Rohit suicide is the murder of thousands of youth who suffer from caste discrimination. He pointed out that the tongues have become serpents, mouths have become guns, Tolerance is in the mortuary and equality is in the intensive care unit,
The government started swachch Bharat on Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti but swachch Bharat should be started from their bad mouths because if the bad mouths will be clean, the tongues will not become serpents and the mouths not guns. We can then have a clean country.
Our people believe in superstitions, they believe in Bhoothas. They erect some stones in bus stands and start praying. The bus drivers before taking the passengers to their destination pray to the stones for safe driving and then get involved into accidents.
Power should not build ego in any political leader. The political leaders cannot cling to power forever, power will come and go. In the name of globalization, people have started to talk about development which is a joke, he said
