Missing hotelier Bhaskar Shetty’s body Found in burnt state at Nandalike
Udupi: The missing hotelier Bhaskar Shetty’s body has been found in a burnt state near a temple at Nandalike here on August 6.
Bhaskar Shetty was missing since July 28. In this connection, his mother had filed a missing person’s complaint in the Manipal police station. It is suspected that it is a pre-planned murder. It is alleged that the close family members are involved in this case.
Joghu Shetty a family member speaking to the mediapersons said that the body is yet to be recovered, however, the police have given some clues in regard to the suspected murder of Bhasker to the family members.
Another relative Chandrasekhar said, “Bhaskar Shetty was the owner of Hotel Durga International and was running a business in Saudi Arabia. When Bhasker was in Saudi, his wife Rajeshwari was taking care of the business. Even though the truth is out, the police, however, would be able to reveal the details once Niranjan Bhat a known person to the family is nabbed”.
According to sources, it is said that there was a marital discord between Bhaskar Shetty and his wife. When he came down to his hometown, he found there was a misappropriation of funds. When he had questioned his wife about it, she got angry and set some documents on fire, while Bhaskar tried to stop Rajeshwari burning important documents, his son too supported her, later mother and son both assaulted Bhasker. Bhasker, after being assaulted started to stay in the hotel. Since July 28, Bhasker was missing. The truth will come out once Niranjan Bhat is nabbed.
The police have taken Bhaskar’s son and wife into custody for questioning. Niranjan Bhat is absconding and search is on for him.
