Objection for Second Marriage, Man Kills Wife using Poisonous Snake

Kerala: In shocking news, a man in Kerala killed his wife using a poisonous snake for objecting him to marry for the second time.

The deceased Uthra (25) was killed by her husband on May 7.

According to the Kollam police, Suraj and Uthra married two years back. Recently Suraj wanted to marry another woman, but Uthra objected to it. Suraj then planned to get rid of Uthra.

Accordingly, on May 6, Suraj met snake catcher Suresh and bought a poisonous Snake for Rs 10,000. He brought the snake home and left it in Uthra’s room when she was in deep sleep. On May 7, Uthra was found dead in her bedroom. The police took Suraj into Custody for questioning. During the post-mortem, it was reported that Uthra had died of a snake bite.

During investigations, the police found Suraj’s messages to the snake catcher in his mobile. Through the messages is was revealed that Suraj had given Rs 10,000 to Suresh and purchased the poisonous snake to kill Uthra.

A similar attempt was made on March 2 to kill Uthra when Suraj had bought a snake in Adoor. He had left the snake on Uthra, and Uthra was hospitalized. On April 22, Uthra was discharged from the hospital after which she returned to her parent’s house in Kollam.

Finally, on May 6, Suraj succeeded in his attempt to kill his wife. Uthra’s parents thought that their daughter had died of snakebite, but Suraj’s mobile revealed the truth.

Accused Suraj has accepted his crime. The Crime Branch Police are investigating the case.
