Bhaskar Shetty murder case: DNA test application hearing on August 18
Udupi: The police investigating team in the Bhaskar Shetty murder case has appealed to the court to allow taking blood samples of Bhaskar Shetty’s mother Gulabi Shetty and his brothers for a DNA test.
Speaking to media persons Assistant Public Prosecutor Praveen Kumar said that the police appealed to the court on August 13 and the hearing will be held on August 18.
The investigation team recovered pieces of bones, ash and other items during the investigation period. A special team of Forensic Science experts has already reached Udupi. The team will conduct a DNA test on the bones and ash to confirm the role of the accused.
There is a chance to file bail application for accused, but till now they have not moved the bail application. If there is a necessity for inquiry, the Police can again ask for custody for the accused, he added.
