Subrahmanya: Father and Two Children Survive Close Encounter with Solitary Wild Elephant

Subrahmanya: Wild elephant menace around this temple town has been in the news. Often elephants keep passing across the highways and wreak havoc in farms in the region.

On Monday, Ramesh, a resident of Konadka, had a horrifying experience.

As he was taking his two children, Preetam and Preetika, in his bike on way home from school, a solitary wild elephant appeared face to face at Ainekidu.

In sheer panic, the three of them jumped off the bike and ran away towards home. The school-bags gor thrown into the nearby bushes and yet to be retrieved.
