Six Dubai Returnees test Positive for COVID-19 in DK

Mangaluru: Six more COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in Dakshina Kannada district here on May 21.

On May 18, the second flight carrying 178 passengers from Dubai had landed at the Mangaluru International airport. The district administration has quarantined 110 Dubai returnees in various places. Their throat swab was sent for testing, and on May 21, six persons were tested positive for COVID-19.

All the six men, aged 60, 44, 42, 44, 35 and 29 tested positive for COVID-19 are from Dakshina Kannada. They have now been shifted to the Wenlock COVID hospital for further treatment.

So far in the district, 61 COVID-19 positive cases have been reported including 6 cases on May 21.
