Naresh Shenoy in Custody – Police Seek Narco-analysis

Mangaluru: The investigating officers probing into the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga were allowed by a local court to keep Naresh Shenoy, the prime accused, in their custody for three days. They had sought a seven-day custody in their application.

They have reportedly also submitted an application for approval to conduct a lie-detector test, narco-analysis and brain-mapping on him while in custody. The police have said that more details had be extracted from Shenoy and hence the process was needed. The court is yet to give its ruling in the matter.

It may be recalled here that the city police commissioner had earlier this week said that the investigation would be conducted in a scientific manner.

The second prime accused, Shrikant Moolya, was allowed to be in the police custody for a day. He was produced in court on Tuesday and sent back to judicial custody.
