True. But these judges are also human and react when wronged. I am not sure what was their real grouse in any case. Were they felt discriminated? Did they feel humiliated? Or belittled subtly? Any case which goes to the supreme court is very important. A doctor can not say that the case is too easy for his competence. S master tailor should treat making of a shirt and making of a suit with equal interest and respect. That’s what I found in my personal tailor Mr Anthony Fernandes of Adarsh Tailors. Some one of his calobre should get a Rajyosthava award for excellence in his own field. Sahyadri College has all the natural and intellectual advantages to grow and multiply in every segment of Engineering discipline. It is well located outside the present city limits, and once the present roadways are expanded travelling by road will become easier. Sahyadri is ideally located alongside the river front, and visitors will always find it convenient to travel thru a scenic drive surrounded by vast lush green environment and also farmland. Sahyadri also has a wonderful faculty with a ‘forward looking’ attitude, and their focus towards the advancement of students will lead the Institution to rise to greater heights in the years to come. We have had the privilege of meeting some of the bright students of Sahyadri when they visited the U.S.A. for participating in the Drone competitions, and we felt that not only the Institution but also the students will enjoy a mutual beneficial goal for a long way to come.

  • From A. S. Mathew on Amit Shah has Criminal Background, He should be Banned in Karnataka - Ivan D'Souza

Hindus of India who are believers in the freedom of religion and looking at the minorities as part of the family are leading the vast number of all the democratic political parties of India except a few in the north eastern and southern side. The RSS rulers who took the exclusive title as the custodians of Hinduism will be learning a big lesson of life. The great religion called ” Hinduism” is a way of life embracing many noble teachings of other religions, and with high tolerance. Anything went wrong with Hindu religion since independence under the former Governments? Under the former Governments of India, Hindus and the rest of the religious minorities lived in peace as good neighbors; now the north Indian virus of division and friction has fully blackmailed Hinduism. Amith Shaw, is he an Hindu or of Jain faith? Why he is acting like the Pope of Hindus? Quite surprising paradox indeed ! When BJP took control of Karnataka in 2008, how many attacks upon the minority Christian community in the month of September alone? Why, there is no attacks like that since the Congress Party took control of Karnataka which is led by the Hindu majority in the party? Are they different than the Hindus of the RSS? Yes, history proves that. The Hindus, being the majority of India have greater responsibility to keep India in peace and order instead of brainwashed by the Gujarathi Imperialists to take over India as their autocratic play ground. PM Modi’s big economic promises are now fully turned as pure jokes; the nation is plunging deeply into an economic slow down. Along with that crisis, there is no peace in the nation but friction and disorder. So, help us GOD to have peace and prosperity upon India again. Once the BJP leadership was totally opposed to FDI; now begging to the foreign nations to invest in India. Where are the smart cities-river connection-millions of jobs-toilets-bathrooms-black money share of Rs. 15 lakh/person etc to give a paradise life for the 400 million people of India living with $ 1.25/day or less income. 1.7 million people of India are homeless, yet millions of people are without a cent in their own name. How they can have adhar card? Without adhar card, they are like the ants of India. What a welfare acha din rule of India?

The “Five Day Conclave” at the Sahyadri College under the able leadership of Dr. Manjunath Bhandari must have been the headlines not only for Mangalore but for the entire region. “Coclave” is a “Big Picture Word” in any imagination where experts from different disciplines and backgrounds must have shared their expertize and knowledge for the benefit of not only the students but also many faculty members and the public genius to share their ideas and talents for the betterment of tomorrow’s Technology, Science and Management. All of them are woven together with the knowledge and experience of so many who were kind enough to devote their precious time and talent for the progress of India as a whole. With the imminent presence of so many Nobel laureates, the sharing of ideas on the innovative thoughts for tomorrow’s young men and women must have been the highlight of Sahyadri Institute who are striving to give the very best to their students who will be the champions of India’s promising future. The beautifully located river-side complex of Sahyadri must have been a scenic location for hundreds of wise men and women to gather together for five precious days and share their valuable ideas for the betterment of not only Mangalore but for India as a whole. Conclaves such as these have long range of positive impacts for Technology and Science that need be managed professionally and systematically for a long term benefit of our students who are the future pillars of our Society. Thank you, Dr. Manjunath Bhandary, for your wise foresight on a five day Coclave at the prestigious complex of Sahyadri, and we extend our best wishes to you and the rest of the faculty for a long term success to all concerned.

Now everybody has turned on Woody (as they should) and she is ready to announce that she has as well. • From Richard Thomas on Hello! SP Nimbargi Speaking: Receives Good Response in First Phone-In Programme

The new SP of Udupi or the Police Dept. alone can never solve any problems. Every nature of complaint has an authority that is lax such as the Municipality, the Traffic or Transport Dept., the Ministry of Public Works, etc. Many SP’s have come and been transferred for reasons best known to the Police authority – but problems need only to be contained by conducting a good study and implementing good urgent measures and not relying on State funds or funds from the Center – as these agencies sleep over most civilian necessities and wake up when elections are nearing. For example, Crime can never be stopped but can be contained by observance and detection and constant police presence. Likewise parking on roads and bi-lanes can be contained by constructing Parking buildings, Dirt and Filth can be contained by providing garbage bins in every public place and on main roads, road accidents and deaths can be contained by putting up more and large reflective and well lit directional and instructive sign boards, road signs, and constructing walk-over pededistrian bridges near schools, hospitals, cinemas, malls, and bus stations.

  • From Richard Thomas on Measures Taken to Prevent Water Shortage, Marriage Halls Issued Notice to Obtain Trade License - Mayor

Shortage of water is directly related to the number of new buildings that have been constructed in Mangalore and Udupi districts. Where one owner lived with max. 6 person family, when this house and plot is sold to a developer, the builder then constructs a residential building of 5 to 25 stories with 30 to 150 apartments which when multiplied by a satellite family of 4 would amount to 120 people to 600 people utilizing water! Why can’t the authorities get this simple math and stop new construction altogether to contain water shortage and to maintain water resources well. Marriage Halls do not consume a lot of water since food is served either on banana leaves or on thermocol or plastic disposable plates.

  • From Max and Jessie Rasquinha on Measures Taken to Prevent Water Shortage, Marriage Halls Issued Notice to Obtain Trade License - Mayor

Our beloved Mayor is hundred percent correct in emphasizing the water conservation in the City of Mangalore since water will always remain to be a precious commodity throughout India. When the population is growing every corner of the towns and cities, all over India, with the uncertainty of rain each year, water level in our lakes, dams and rivers will pose a concern all the time. We still remember vividly the shortage of water even during our school days, and we also remember our prayers in our churches, temples and mosques for timely rain, year after year. Conservation of water is the key concern to our City and many other cities in India. Every kind of measure introduced by our Mayor for conservation of water should therefore be supported by each and everyone of us. This is the best way to help our people in their need for continuous flow of water and side by side also maintain our agricultural needs. Thank you, dear Mayor, for your timely thoughts and concerns.

This state of affair is pure negligence of the authority for this issue, the Mangalore Municipality, Tax money being wasted! What would one find on a vacant well paved plot if not stray dogs and stray human beings! If Street Vendors are not interested to vend in a facility especially thought of and created and constructed and allotted to them, then the Municipality should make this place into a Pay & Park Car Parking or a Bus Station for Mumbai/Mangalore, Mangalore/Bangalore and other outstation Private Bus Operators, or alternatively a Bus Station for Udupi/Kundapur-Mangalore Bus operators. There are many ways to best utlize and recover the expenses – but circumstances tell that the Municipality is not doing it’s job. The Street Vendors must be charged with the law against vending on pavements and penalized/imprisoned – the tough must get going!

This is the most significant Day in the Catholic calendar of Mangalore where tens of thousands of Catholics, both young and old, gather together and lead the religious procession with the accompaniment of the Holy Sacrament from Milagres Church to Rozario Church. We wish Mangalore had much broader and different roads where we could divert the main street traffic to other roads and devote the entire road for the Catholic procession, but realizing the traffic congestion and the road situtions, we have no choice by carry on the procession amidst the busy traffic. We have had few occasions in the past where we were in Mangalore to take part in the religious procession, and we were truly impressed with he way the entire program is conducted, and the Holy Sacrament moves from Milagres to Rozario church with the choir, with the prayer and with all the religious displays that gives a vivid indication to the rest of the faiths to appreciate the beauty of secularism in India. Thank you to all the Organizers of the Diocese, especially the Bishop, for conducting the entire outdoor program so well, and may God grant us continued peace and harmony to Mangalore today and always.

That habit of opening med colleges started in 1980 when MS Ramah med college Kemp Gowda Med college and Ambedkar med college were given permission by the late Dev Raj Urs got. Rumor was rife that 2 Crore Rs had changed hands for each permission. Subsequently it was Gundu Rao who permitted at Tumkur Kolar and Raichoor. Rama Krishna Hedge permitted Dharmasteal College at Hubli and Bagalkot med college. Remote corners like Chitra drugs Shimoga also got colleges. It became a dreaded malady. Siddu would have promised got med colleges. Obviously they have no money. Besides do we need so many colleges? PS: AL Ameen at Bijapur was permitted during Rama Krishna Hegde’s time. PS2: Sorry if I missed some names here. No insult implied.?

  • From Richard Thomas on Madhwarj’s Varahi Water Project to Udupi is a Major Blunder - Raghupathi Bhat

Politics and different parties does not leave room for love and unity. Especially in Karnataka, when all the Politicians claim to be chaste Hindu and faithful sons of the soil of the State of Karnataka. This does not benefit the people of Karnataka when there is so much of animosity. distrust and hate between these so called sons of the soil! It would serve the people of Karnataka better, if all the people in authority and those ”FORMER” not in authority politicians, would live in peace and harmony, and solve the needs of the people of Karnataka amicably. It’s a known fact in India in general, where politicians will mouth big talks of projects and sanctions when in reality nothing materializes. And even if a project is undertaken, the cost is shown two to three times than what was tendered, and then there always arises the case of scandals. People who favour politicians and their parties and their rallies and schemes must understand that in general, only the one politician stands to gain and whereas the ninety-nine citizens are still in the muck! Indians need to change the mind set towards the type of politics and patriotism being meted out today as there is simply no change or growth in any form or shape,

  • From Max and Jessie Rasquinha on St Aloysius College to bring Back Reminiscence of 1st World War at Seminar

We wish to complement Fr. Praveen Martis, SJ for initiating the Two Day Symposium shortly at St. Aloysius College commemorating the World War I and World War II that has virtually devastated the entire world with loss of more than sixty million precious lives plus hundreds of billions of dollars of property loss all over the world. Although both the World Wars began in Europe, the United States as a Pioneer of “Global Peace and Stability” inherited a major burden of both the Wars and suffered a great deal economically, politically, socially and even psychologically. Before the World War I the Americans became actively involved in the Industrial Era under the leadership of President Theodore Roosovelt. Before World War I also came the Balfour Declaration whereby the Americans and the British came into a consensus to provide the Jews of the world their legitimate place for survival and growth, and it took another forty years for the British to give a mandate for creation of a new State called Israel under the leadership of David Bengurion. In between the World War I and World War II America also suffered a major depression in 1929 and President Franklin D Roosuvelt was obliged to maintain his Presidency for the third term. It was amazing to witness the kind of unique role that India as the major British colony played under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi and many other freedom fighters who remained silently observant of all the destruction and devastation that came upon the world war that ended with Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor followed by the Americans dropping the Bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The final tragedy was the German Holocast. Unfortunately, The 2 major World Wars did not bring any tangible results. Then came the Korean War, the Viet Nam War, The Desert Storm War, the Gulf War, the Iran-Iraq War, and finally the Invasion of Iraq that ended the life of Saddam Hussein. Many other mini wars here and there have also taken place taking a massive toll on people and property causing communal disturbances and ethnic unrests. We wish St. Aloysius College best of success in the above Symposium that will bring tons of additional knowledge to the young and promising students. Thank you, Fr. Praveen for your kind initiatives.

These tinted cars have immoral activities going on and some police personnel are aware but don’t stop these cars since they belong to bigwigs.

This act is pure radicalism and an abuse of Faith. Those that indulge in assuming authority without having any knowledge of their rights and the rights of others, must be taught so behind bars, so that in future, they will not indulge in such uncivilised acts of assault,

God bless Mr Puttaram, the traffic Police Officer, for keeping his cool inspite of being abused and roughed up by Mr Amruth Kadri. If he too would have to retaliate, what difference would it make between the good and the bad! No Indian citizen, in authority or a member of any party, is above the law – everyone is same and with equal rights. Mr Kadri should apologize to Mr Puttaram for his drunken state and rude behaviour. Just because one is a member of the Congress Party does not give the right to abuse and manhandle anyone, leave alone a Traffic Policeman on duty. The Traffic Dept. should take care of this matter in a right manner so that justice prevails and appropriate punishment is given as per law.

The oil producing countries had their hey day of luxury and endless celebrations for four decades. But now they are all going to see the reality of life. Venezuela while sitting at the largest oil reserve int he world along with one of the largest natural gas reserve, now the people are trying to cross the border to Chile and neighboring countries for mere survival and the people are eating from the trash bin. Once, the stores were filled with north American made consumer goods too abundantly, the people were enjoying a lifestyle of high standard without working. Even with the united effort of the non-OPEC nations, the oil price is not going up. The current crude oil price circling around $ 60.00/bl is pushing the oil producing nations to red ink in their budgeting. Thus, more taxation will be the only solution to the economically starving oil producing countries of the world, especially the GCC countries.

  • From Max and Jessie Rasquinha on Mangalureans Welcome New Year 2018 with Prayers and Revelry

Yes, the New Year comes and goes with lots of celebrations, parties, get-togethers and many other ways of jubilations. But the people of India have great faith in the prayers. People pray for timely rains, people pray for safety and security, and most importantly, people pray for Peace and Happiness throughout the New Year. People of India are concerned about the growing populations, people are concerned about the growing inflations, and the people are also concerned about growing shortages in so many ways due to growing demands and less supplies that result in ever increasing frustrations on so many daily uncertainties of life. Having recently returned from an eight week trip to India, we distinctly witnessed the ever-increasing traffic on our roads adding more pollution and congestion. Our hospitals are full, our restaurants are full, and also our churches, temples and mosques are full. Even our schools and colleges are full. All of the above circumstances obviously lead people more towards God seeking the basic comforts in our daily life. All of the above are not normally noticed in most of the other countries of the world. Prayer is therefore essential in our daily life of struggles in India. May God help us to begin our New Year with lots of good hopes and good blessings.

It is a big relief to hear from the President of India, his emphasis on education and commending the people and community in serving the society through giving education. While speaking at a Christian gathering, he did compliment very highly about the service rendered by the Christian community in education and healthcare. Also, while visiting Kerala, he was greatly fascinated by the high level of literacy-healthcare and social harmony in the State of Kerala and challenged the northern States to learn from Kerala; which was addressed by PM Modi as the ” Somalia ” of India. While watching the statements and speeches of the President, he is fully contradicting the statements of PM Modi in berating the non-BJP ruled States.

” J R Lobo stands- J for Justice; R for Reality and Respectable; L for Leadership and Loving; O for Outstanding; B for Bold and Brave; and O for Orator” Is this a report or a propaganda? The author, known for lecturing Hindus on Deepavali, seems to have forgotten all about poor people, noise pollution and other social causes. Going by his earlier logic, why waste so much electricity, money and time on these things when we can spend it on poor? Did he ever ask Mr.Lobo on his absence in ‘mangaluru sachcha’ campaign?

Is this a joke? If this is a dead horse, why is All India Muslim Personal Law board opposing it? In other words, the Muslim Law Board (including one of karnataka state minister) wants to retain this old tradition of divorcing. How is this comparable to hindu men illegally dumping their women without divorce? On is legal and other oneis illegal. If any hindu dumps his wife, then she can take legal route. No Hindu organization is demanding a right to dump women! This character Vinod Dua and other pseudo-secular individuals are known for playing these dishonest games to confuse readers. There was a time when pseudo-secular groups used these twisted arguments to fool Hindus and justify bad behavior by minority communities. Those days are over. Your lies and propaganda are exposed.

The Beach stretch from Malpe, Thottam, to Kemman is simply beautiful, and the sunset is simply magnificent! Swimming, especially during high tide is however not advisable because of high waves and strong water current, It is sad to note that some people, especially men, throw caution to the wind, and dare to brave the sea to show off their ego – man can never stand the 3 elements of nature, Water, Wind, and Fire. Proper Notification Boards are put up at the entrance to the beach at Malpe, both in English and Kannada and as well Lifeguards and Police personnel are constantly present – but some men drink alcohol from either the Bar at the entrance to the beach or carry their own booze, and then venture into the sea, only to die!

Karnataka is a beautiful state, blessed with forests, wild animals, beaches, flat lands, and good natural resources, very spiritual and a rich history. However, some people of Karnataka are not happy with God’s blessings and are instead focusing on joining either of the two parties BJP or Congress in the hope of gaining power, name, fame, and ill-gotten riches. In this frenzy, they are forever against each other, making derogatory remarks on each other or their party, forgetting their faith and its teachings and the fear of God. Karnataka cannot progress or prosper with such people and should instead learn to love one another and live in peace and harmony and enjoy happiness. Without God’s blessings, no party or person can prevail and neither can progress and prosper.

  • From Max and Jessie Rasquinha on 3,515 Karnataka farmers committed suicide in five years

The stress and strain suffered by tens of thousands of Farmers in Karnataka over the past several years is fully understandable on account of climate changes, increasing costs and resultant financial constraints. A farmer is the backbone of the Nation and therefore it is important for the Government to step in and help the needy farmers so as to enable them to bear the resultant consequences. Long term financial subsidies and also long term interest free loans could be one of the main ways to help a suffering farmer who is helping hundreds of labor force to pool their efforts and toil the land. There are so many ways to assist a suffering farmer and relieve him at least temporarily some of the major burdens, specially the financial burdens.

Ananth Hegde is an embarrassment for attacking the concept of secularism. He should have targeted pseudo-secular groups who abused the term ‘secularism’ to attack Hindus while supporting shenanigans of certain minority communities. He should have targeted coward media for hiding under desk when it comes to Muslims. Instead, Anant Hegde showed his ignorance by ridiculing the concept of secularism. BJP needs to descipline him immediately. Unfortunately, this is going to be a new reality in India. Thanks to decades of pseudo-secular culture, the political pendulum is going to swing a little too far in other direction. This is exactly why it’s important to do the right things and follow the right policies.

Rightly, there should only be one National Identity Card for availing any service – private or government, and there are no substantial benefits that can be expected from the government, take for example the subsidy on Cooking Gas Cylinder – how the PM wants every Indian to forego after emphasizing that Aadhar Card was for that specific purpose.

The double standards are the root cause behind the rise of ‘hindu’ vote bank. Hindu community is sick and tired of these games by minority groups and ‘secular’ politicians. • From A. S. Mathew on Christmas in the Midst of Unseen Violence

Glad to the read the open article exposing the hidden strategy of the current administration from my personal Friend. The RSS and her sister parties have created a new song to bluff the gullible party followers ” forced conversion” through which India will be a Christian country. The number of the political leaders who got educated at the Christian schools and colleges are too many; including Advani-Arun Jaitly-Smiriti Irani-Dr. Kiran Bedi- the CM of Goa-Sadananda Gowda (former Railway Minister for a very short term from Karnataka) etc, they are running the country as RSS politicians. How much difference we can visualize too openly and easily, wherever the Christian population is higher, the superior healthcare-education and the socially uplifted society? The most stomach cramping rhetoric is to hear from the RSS leaders all across the nation praising the great contribution of the Christian community in healthcare-education and social life, whenever they are invited to speak at the Christian gatherings and Churches. It is now quite known to the whole world, especially in the Christian nations of the world where Modi loves to visit and hug the leaders with the profound intention to get massive foreign investment in India, that India is under the current regime is fully anti-Christian; and will do anything and everything to terrorize and oppress them to be politically subordinates. The RSS Government’s misguided and blinded strategy to reach that destination will be crashing before our eyes. We do believe in and worship a risen GOD.

  • From Original R.Pai on Christmas in the Midst of Unseen Violence

“how could many of leaders of the Hindu fundamental organizations and Bhartiya Janta Party…” writes author. So, BJP is a ‘Hindu fundamental’ organization? Does the author even realize how this kind of condescending language coupled with chequered past of missionaries have turned public sentiments very negative on christian religious groups? When BJP came to power, there were many reports of church attacks which later turned out to be false. Even in recent Gowri Lankesh murder case, media and many groups accused ‘Hindu’ groups for the murder with zero evidence. Not a single soul came forward to apologize for spreading fake news. Do you realize how these things perpetuate the same old negative stereotypes of minority groups conspiring to tarnish and weaken the Hindu society? Hindu society has a number of flaws and challenges that nobody denies. However, constantly branding anything ‘Hindu’ as ‘intolerant’, mocking hindu sentiments and festivals are adding fuel to the suspicion between communities and resulting in these unfortunate incidents.

“We should not give communal colour to any death…” says the guy who has been giving communal color to the murder of Gowri Lankesh without any clear proof. Do these guys even understand what comes out of their mouth? He is the one misusing a cultural event to spew his political views and target his critics. The irony is nauseating. Also, where was his passion when certain elements in minority community engage in violence and illegal acts? Why is he not uttering a word on illegal slaughterhouses and cow theft? How about a comment on growing influence of ISIS? Or even better – for claiming to be an ‘artist’, can you make a movie on pravaadi?

Pilikula is an ideal spot for 3D Planetarium, and we must therefore complement all those that approved Pilikula as the best sight for such a new and exemplary Technology. People of India are smart and ‘forward looking’. People of India are changing for better ever day by embracing better standard of life so that they can taste all the new standards and pass on the best of cream to the new generation. Our generations in India are changing so fast with new ideas and new imaginations of the future ahead of them. 3D Planetarium will certainly bring a new enlightenment in the enthusiastic minds of people who will be able to educate the young generation and encourage them to be smarter to face new challenges. Thank you so very much, dear Shriman Ivan D’Souza for your thoughtful gesture in bringing Xmaz feelings with a holiday spirit to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. India is changing, and India has changed so much for better over the years, it is heartening to feel that the secular values are looming large on the nation, and therefore the Almighty God of all faiths will always remain kind and merciful on India that is striving for communal harmony, love and peace. As much as we visit India almost every year, our focus is not on the delicious food that we eat or the fanciful Restaurants that we visit. Our major focus is on the progress and prosperity of people of all faiths in Mother India, our literacy expansion and our changing standard of life. Peace and harmony amongst people is the most important aspect of India’s changing life. Once people appreciate and embrace Peace and Harmony in their daily persuit of life, all the rest of the priorities will fall in their own place in a systematic pattern. As much as we are far away, we watch India’s daily life of “Shanthi” with a prayerful heart and mind, and wish India best of success in all their daily endeavors so that people of all ages and religions may survive with peace and harmony.

  • From Max and Jessie Rasquinha on Journalists should Uphold Truth and Expose Falsehood - Clifford Pereira

Journalism and the role of media in a country such as India is the single most important source that connects our communities and our societies with daily events and daily happenings. It is also a rewarding segment that provides job opportunities for hundreds of thousands of people, both young and old to be actively involved in the media with a view to help the public to keep abreast with the people and the world. In addition to the publication of daily newspapers and magazines, the media also plays an active role in the daily broadcasts thru radios and televisions as well thru websites and many other means of communication. In the ever-changing world, utilization of the media is an important area that enables people to interact with each other and share their opinions thru verbal dialogs or thru various debates and sharing of individual opinions. We fully endorse the views expressed by Mr. Clifford Pereira on the truthfulness and uprightness that the media has to contribute to the society that we belong. Media is a difficult job and also a challenging job, because howsoever truthful a journalist can be, the listening public still has their own choice and judgement to make their own judgements on the authentification of any topic that is portrayed by a journalist to the public. Journalism is a tough job that a reporter has to publicize to the world in whichever way he or she likes to make it public, but somebody has to make the news public and make the news an interesting episode to make the news as truthful as possible and satisfy the world and make their role of journalism an interesting reality.

Retirement age is 60 legally in India, and why is this not practised in the offices of governance in India? If this is overlooked, so should education be tax exempt in every form and shape? I firmly believe it is not the amount of taxes this government is on the path of collection, they should really be in the concept of containing salaries and expenses in all government agencies, that is the real reason for wanting more revenue in the form of GST that has virtually made living in India more expensive and gets life and development even further back. It is hard to imagine what does the present governance aim to achieve at the cost of all the people in India – like currency demonetization was a surprise move and not a democratic or public approved move, and what did it benefit the overall Indian people besides being told how much to withdraw and how to spend in a rather dictator form and the huge inconvenience for nearly 3 months

  • From Max and Jessie Rasquinha on MLA J R Lobo Inaugurates Renovated road in Bejai

New concreted roads, howsoever narrow they may be, are changing the overall outlook of Mangalore, from what we observed during our recent visit to Mangalore. The roads are well done, and also the roads are clean and neat. If there is any way to create some foot-pathways alongaside that will be great, but the overall progress of the roads in and around Mangalore is extremely praiseworthy. India is now a fairly rich country in comparison with many other developing as well as developed nations in the world. With such a growing population added with ever-growing Education, all our City planners and developers should not fail in their aspirations for the City because there is enough Taxation made available thru every corner of the economic growth. Areas such as Health, Sanitation, Education, Transportation and Communication should receive best possible attention so that people are made happy, and happy people will willingly pay the taxes due from them because these taxes come back to each and every individual in one form or another. Thank you, Mr. J. R. Lobo, for all your forthrightness in focusing on all the priorities of the City, and the people will always remain grateful to you for your good leadership.

Very good tale … cannot be called an analysis since the view is biased. Modi just pocketed two states Gujarat and Himachal to increase the tally of total states under BJP rule! BJP is going to be in majority in Rajyasabha very soon… Of course demonetisation and GST has reduced the speed of development, which is unavaoidable. However growth has picked up from 5.8 % to 6.3 % recently. World agencies are predicting the growth rate will be some where near 8.00% in 2018 end and 2019 . Acche din cannot be written off yet!!
