  • From Sas on 'Rollback Your Decision, If Not Your End Is Near' - Poojary Warns PM

While this demonitisation has caused hardship to the poor who don’t have bank accounts or debit/credit cards, it caused mental anguish and sleepless nights for the rich hoarding black money. While poor won’t lose anything out of this plan, rich and corrupt have plenty to lose besides physical and mental health. These hoarders could have easily declared their ill-gotten health, paid taxes and penalty and converted their white into black and slept peacefully and remained in good health. Congress has not done anything tackling the black money while they were in power and when someone as daring as Modi puts his idea into action, we have many thugs opposing the plan. Congress needed more time to alert its people to dispose their black money and unfortunately Modi did not Give them additional time and took them by surprise. Under the Congress rule, we endured enormous hardships for a long period. The current hardship is pale compared to what we had undergone over a period of many decades that forced me and many more to leave my beloved country seeking for opportunities elsewhere. If India were as much as ten percent of what it is today, many of us would not have left India.

Beautiful Article Fr. Cedric Prakash. It’s nice to know that you are living in a war torn country and helping the suffering people over there. Yes Nov. 14th is children’s day but as you mentioned above, many innocent children as well as mother’s and father’s get killed everyday everywhere for no reason. We need to pray more and more so that God needs to interfere more and help to get peace than war. Also you have mentioned few great people in your article and reminded us how to transform other’s lives and how we find God in loving and serving others. You have given a positive message to us. But It’s sad to know that your mother passed away on Children’s day. My heartfelt sympathies to you and to your siblings. May her soul rest in Peace! Thanks for the meaningful Article father.

We Christians are really wondering as to where our so called community leaders, religious and political are doing when the Government decides to celebrate the Jayanti of a person who has killed Christians in thousands and tortured so many of them during his rule. Surely, we havent forgotten that! Why be so opportunistic when it comes to registering peaceful protests against the government? Is it because the Congress is in power or that the BJP is protesting so that we are not seen joining hands with them? Why cant we call a spade a spade for what it is? Do we need our Hindu brethren to remind us about Tipu’s misdeeds; cant we even tell the government in no uncertain terms or even protest that Tipu’s Jayanti celebrations are totally unacceptable to the Christian community; it is like creating new wounds when the old wounds have healed. We havent seen any leaders from the Christian community protest against the Government; rather we have an MLC from Mangaluru, Ivan D’Souza making his presence felt in support of the celebration. What a pity and what a shame! We have allowed the government to play with our feelings without even telling them that we dont like whats being done. No wonder, we get taken for granted and used as mere votebanks. We just cant stand up and say ‘Thats not right!’ I’m sure that if the BJP was in power and did something which Christians didnt like, we would have had people protesting in droves, unmindful of the inconvenience caused. Everything now is just based on strategic calculations and is market driven, alas the death of Conscience! At least, some poiltical leaders felt that it was not proper to attend!

  • From Richard Dsouza on KSRTC to extend its Fleet to interior Rural Areas - Ramalinga Reddy

PUBLIC GRIEVANCE: 1. The present location at the Udupi City Bus Stand is not suitable, unless: a. The location has an ENTRY and an EXIT point at each end on the Main road b. The location must be fenced and 24 x 7 security must be available, as these labourers from Bagallkot and Bijapur, who frequent the Bar that is at the side does roaring business selling liquor to all the drunkards, are found there, in large groups, sitting or laying drunk on the pavement and at the present bus station location, especially in the evening hours. In fact, the police must keep the Bus Station area clear of all these labourers and their 2-wheelers and their illegal business of all sorts on the pavements opposite the City Bus Stand. It’s so disgusting to note that the people in authority do not notice this, and as well do nothing about it despite of complaints. c. The buses must have destination boards in English too – at present they are only in Kannada. Most people do not read Kannada, and the conductor is seen shouting MALPE, MALPE, like the private operators – this shouting should cease. d. Drunkards, Fisherfolks, Beggars, and Labourers with baskets and farm implements must not be allowed in the bus. e. The doors of the bus must be closed whilst the bus is in motion – at present they are left wide open. f. Proper covered bus stops must be installed at every 1Km, and drunkards and homeless men must be arrested and locked up if they are found sleeping in the bus stops. At present there are none along the routes, with the exception of a very few in Udupi town. g. KSRTC must have 15min. intervals between each bus and not 1 hour and above that is being maintained now – if it wants to stay in business to compete with private operators, who ply a bus to Malpe Beach every 10 minutes and to Manipal every 3 minute. h. Lastly KSRTC drivers, conductors, and KSRTC buses and premises must be supervised at all times – to operate as a leading government bus operator, and not some third class6 local private bus operator.

The Tractor was obviously parked on the fast lane without any HAZARD signs placed at a safe distance to the rear of the Tractor, to alert any oncoming vehicle – inviting such a disaster, as one will notice in the above photographs, a saffron color cloth tied to a stick – which is a common sight of all those working on NH66, be it graders, mobile cranes, dozers, or dumpers. The traffic police should take to task such contractors and those at loss should demand full compensation. Only then these stupid people will learn how to work professionally.

After Islamic preacher Dr.Zakir Naik’ IRF all set for ban on the media conviction,RSS political wing BJP has set target on PFI. While ruling Congress is silently conspiring with RSS and BJP in fear from the raise of its political wing SDPI.It all set to target using ‘anti-nationlism’ tag. Congress has certainly gave up to BJP hyper nationalism and communalism. Whereas NAMO founder Naresh Shenoy who wanted in RTI activist murder gets bail. • From Sheikh on Let Ivan Convert to Hinduism to Celebrate Diwali in Temple - VHP

To start with, the restriction on entry to Makkah and Madinah is not made by any political or human authority. Thus it cannot be questioned as though it is something that a government or a leader has put it in place. Nor can the argument of equal treatment be given here. Moreover, Muslims have not asked the authorities of any religious place to make that place open to them. They decide to invite visitors or prevent them. Suppose, for argument’s sake, that the Vatican authorities decide to ban non-Catholic people from visiting their city. Will anyone have the right to question them? It is their city and they do in it what they like. Having said that, we may add that the prohibition gives a clear indication that God wants to keep Makkah a city for worship and security. As such it cannot be transformed into a tourist resort. That is totally unacceptable. The same applies to Madinah which has been restricted to non-Muslims by none other than the Prophet himself. When God and His Messenger decree something, the only thing open to us is to obey their decree. With regards specifically to your question, we understand that Makkah and Madinah are extremely virtuous and sacred places. However, even today there are many non-Muslims present at these places. The abovementioned verse only prohibits them from performing the sacred rituals of Hajj and Umrah. A simple way to understand this better will be that there are rules and regulations for person wishing to enter a foreign country. He has to go through procedures like visa applications, passport, etc. No country will simply accept anyone and everyone. Why then should it not be such with sacred places like Makkah and Madina. Islam teaches that the Creator Who created the heavens and the earth and everything that exists in between, is the same Creator Who created man. Thus, in the sight of God, all mankind are His creation and His slaves, and as such, all are equal in front of Him. Allah says in the Holy Quran: Chapter 49 Surah Hujurat verse 13:O mankind, We created you from one man and one woman, and then divided you into nations and tribes so that you may recognize one another. Indeed, the most honorable among you in the sight of Allah is he who is the most God-conscious of you. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 1:O mankind! Fear your Lord, Who created you of a single soul; and of the same created his mate. And from that pair, spread countless men and women over the earth. Contrary to popular belief, the Message of Islam is for all of mankind! Anyone who believes in this Message from God Almighty with his own free will and choice, becomes a muslim. In the sight of God, all human beings are absolutely equal, and the one most honorable in the sight of God is the one who is the most God-conscious amongst them. I reiterate “The unclean is used in the verse in the spiritual sense, not the physical sense”. I had not mentioned the word ‘Najis’ in my comment. But some corrupt minds are full of ‘Najis’ can only be described by in his own way defination. There are many people raise objection to this and hence try to spread misconception. A worthless person, a wicked man, Is the one who walks with a perverse mouth, Who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet, Who points with his fingers; Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil, Who spreads strife.-Proverbs 6:12-14 Jai Hind

This NH66 from Trashi to Mangalore is the most hazardous road designed and being constructed from donkey’s years with no completion in sight! There are no proper exits or entry roads designed for every town on NH66, and no pedestrian crossings foreseen – and the those who use this NH66 have to take risks – that involves death most of the time. Lorries and buses are plying on the wrong side of the road – that is on the fast lane at all times – which is not normal in any part of the world – Buses and Lorries must be made to drive only on the left side of the NH66. The fast lane must be left open for cars and motorbikes only. Secondly parking of lorries and buses and as well cars on the NH66 and on the main roads must be prohibited, as they are a hazard for oncoming traffic. The Government must build Car Parking Buildings and Open Lots for Lorries and Buses and charge them a hourly, daily, or monthly fee. This is done in all countries in the world. Why don’t our CM and PM learn something after visiting outside of India on their trips. Why can’t the Karnataka Transport Dept. look into this and do something to avoid loss of life and property.

  • From Jay on Let Ivan Convert to Hinduism to Celebrate Diwali in Temple - VHP

Mushriks and Polytheist are unclean, and adds “spiritually, and to become “spiritually clean” say just one line translated “There is no God, but God and Mohammad is his Prophet”, and he or she will become clean? Hence, grave sinners committing many heinous crimes and saying that one line are instantly cleansed? I asked if Modi or Ivan could go to the cities of Mecca and Medina, and not the Grand Mosques in Mecca or the Prophets Mosque in Medina, and the answer is NO because the Qur’an describes non Muslims as Najis. So instead of going to the mosque could Modi or Ivan just take a short 2 minute walk on the outskirts of Mecca and Medina proudly displaying their respective religious symbols. Ivan proudly displaying his cross and proclaim Jesus Christ as the son of God, and share his knowledge of the Bible on the streets of Mecca & Medina, would he ever come back in 1 piece. The grand old man describes Mecca & Medina as a cantonment area!!! A cantonment area is a place for military campaign and adds only a citizen enrolled in the military can go to that area? But Muslims who are citizens of countries from all over the world can go to that cantonment area and this military area is place of pilgrimage and prayer? So please tell us, is this is a restricted military area cum place of prayer and pilgrimage? Do you have similar examples anywhere else in the world? This is a head scratcher. See more contradicting, if Modi can visit a mosque in the UAE, or a mosque anywhere else in the world, but he cannot enter into the city of Mecca & Medina. If a person is clean enough to go a Mosque anywhere in the world, why can’t he go to a mosque in Mecca or Medina. Because the Qur’an describes non Muslims as “Najis”, which has many meanings but the most common is body waste? The great Taqqiya Artist could have told us all the real meaning of the word Najis, instead he intentionally chose “unclean spiritually”. Why, why don’t you tell us the real reasons why no non Muslim are allowed into the cities of Mecca and Medina The exception to the ban was temporarily lifted in 1979 when the grand mosques were taken over by the Mahdi. At first the Saudi’s bought in an all Arab Sunni army to liberate the mosques, and when they did not succeed they called in the Pakistanis. When all avenues failed they were forced to bring in the French and they liberated the mosque from the Mahdi.

In principle, I agree with these points. I love tranquility and I am a big fan of animal rights. In fact, I would go a step ahead and call for a total ban on fire crackers and loud music in public places irrespective of the event – be it Deepaavali, Independence day, New Year celebration or religious/political processions. However, I have trouble endorsing these views when we selectively lecture groups. For example, there is a religious event where one community slaughters hundreds of thousands of animals in a most brutal way. When we talk about fire crackers causing ‘anxiety and confusion’ to animals, don’t we have some moral responsibility to condemn slaughtering of animals which is infinitely worse for animals? I don’t remember reading about any ‘eco-friendly’ views or special concerns towards animals with respect to the religious festival celebrated by a minority community.

There are many people who raise objection to this and hence try to spread misconceptions. It is true that only muslims are allowed in the Sacred Mosque in Mecca. The simple reason it is so, is because it is the command God Almighty made in the Holy Quran. Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 28:O you who have believed, the mushriks (polytheists) are unclean; therefore, let them not come near the Sacred Mosque (of Mecca) after this year. The unclean is used in the verse in the spiritual sense, not the physical sense. Allah has commanded that no polytheists must be allowed to enter the Sacred Mosque, and this command will stand till the end of time. Therefore, there is no one who can facilitate your visit to the Sacred Mosque, except yourself. If and when you testify that there is no god but God Alone, and that Mohamed is Gods slave-servant and Messenger, you are more than welcome to visit the Sacred Mosque. There are millions of mosques around the world, and if you wish, you are more than welcome to visit any one of them. This command is specifically only for the Sacred Mosque in Mecca. Makkah is not a place of tourism, but a place of reverence and worship. It is a sacred site of pilgrimage of the religion of PEACE! A non-Muslim has no reverence for Makkah, and therefore should not be there as a mere spectator. Mecca and Madinah are cities of great importance in Islamic tradition, centres of pilgrimage and prayer, sacred places where Muslims are free from the distractions of daily life. The ban on non-Muslim visitors is mentioned in the Qur’an as follows: “Oh you who believe! Truly the idolaters are unclean; so let them not, after this year, approach the Sacred Mosque….” (9:28). This verse specifically refers to the Grand Mosque in Mecca; later scholars have included Madinah in this ruling as well. All citizens are not permitted to enter certain restricted areas like the cantonment. In every country there are certain areas where a common citizen of that country cannot enter. Only a citizen who is enrolled in the military or those who are connected with the defence of the country are allowed in the cantonment area. Similarly Islam is a Universal Religion for the entire world and for all human beings. The cantonment areas of Islam are the two holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. Here only those who believe in Islam and want to visit for pilgrimage and prayer are allowed. It would be illogical for a common citizen to object against the restriction on entering a cantonment area. Similarly it is not appropriate for non-Muslims to object against the restriction on non-Muslims against entering Makkah and Madinah. Whenever a person travels to a foreign country he has to first apply for a visa i.e. the permission to enter that country. Every country has its own rules, regulations and requirements for issuing a visa. Unless their criteria are satisfied they will not issue a visa. Only if I agree with their requirements and conditions will I be permitted to enter the country. The Visa – The primary condition required for any human being to enter Makkah or Madina is to say with his Heart , Soul & lips, La ila ha illallah Muhammed ur Rasulullah meaning that ‘there is no God but Allah and Muhammed (pbuh) is His Messenger.’ Whoever Almighty give guidance will certainly reach to the sacred place of Islam. Well written and researched article. I fully support it. Bursting of fire crackers( and use of box type DJ loudspeakers) must be stopped whether it is a religious function/ceremony, marriage function, birthday party, Christmas,New Year,Diwali, Eid, political party celebration, Kola etc etc etc. Nobody has the right to interfere with the right of those who do not wish to be a part of noise and its ill effects. We should be law-abiding and civilized Indians first and last. We are Hindus,Muslims,Christians, etc. only within the 4 walls of our houses and religious institutions. Fire crackers are particularly very bad for heart/ high blood pressure patients, babies, asthma/respiratory patients . Fire crackers contain harmful heavy metals like Cadmium, Selenium,Aluminium can can even enter into the food chain through sedimentation through the soil and water bodies. Firecrackers as loud as 140dB – 160dB can cause instant permanent damage to hearing/perforation of the ear drum. And, there is no remedy or cure for hearing loss!

Since he became CM of Gujarat and PM of India there are more women getting widowed than before.Instead of challenging the code of Almighty Allah,he should better ensure the safety of women. HAF is a sister organization of RSS overseas ? That’s news to me. Nevertheless, you got that right HAF members are funding and supporting Donald Trump – “Ab Ki Baar Trump Ki Sarkar”. The real support for Trump began when Khanzir Khan who had lost his son in Iraq war in 2004, and the Pakistani & allied media openly began supporting crooked Hilary. It was Hilary who voted for the war, that led to his son’s death and instead of accepting responsibility she along with the crooked media blamed Trump for his death. It was a moment to remember when Khan went to the Democratic convention and raised a copy of US constitution and asked Trump if he had read it and to look for the words Liberty and Freedom. I managed to get Khan’s email and I asked him in that mail Mr. Khan “There are 50+ Islamic countries in the world but not one of these countries the inhabitants have liberty and freedom. In your native Pakistan how are Hindus & Christians who are the original inhabitants of land treated, do they have liberty and freedom? As expected no reply”

However, I have a simple question for every stenographer and chorus boy/girl in media – Are you really proud of what you are witnessing here? Do you really believe in equal rights for women? If so, when are you going to muster enough courage to stand up to these insane elements same way you stand up to Hindu right wing elements? Prior to 2014 elections Hindu fascist organizations in America under the garb of “nationalism” have long realized that support for Israel is key to the Washington door. Thus they have developed good relations with America’s powerful Jewish Lobby. India’s new prime minister Narendra Modi (BJP) was Sangh Parivar’s candidate in the Indian parliament elections. The report claims that most of these Indian hate groups receive social and financial aid from various Hindu charities working in United States, as tax exempt non-profit organizations, just like all Jewish lobby groups like AIPAC, ADL, AJC, WINEP, AZC, etc. According to the report, Hindutva-affiliated Hindu Student Council (HSC), like Israeli Hillel, is active in more than 74 university campuses in United States and Canada. Hindu nationalist organisations have established a strong network in the United States, with around 140 Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh shakhas across the country and over $55 million dollars in aid, largely sent to groups in India in the last 10 years. Major US-based tax-exempt non-profit Hindu nationalist organisations include the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS), Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), Sewa International USA, and Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation-USA. The Overseas Friends of the Bharatiya Janata Party – USA (OFBJP) is quite active as well, though it is not a tax-exempt group. http://www.dnaindia.com/world/report-hindu-nationalist-organisations-take-root-in-the-united-states-2000363 http://www.wrmea.org/1994-january/hindu-extremists-seek-ties-with-israel-and-its-u.s.-lobby.html The Hindu extremist organisation in US formed similar organisation like American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and hired PR consultant group APCO worldwide( retd. israeli intelligence group) to ressurect CM Modi to wash away Post Godhra image to become PM candidate. Rahul is no solution nor his sister and it is a shame that Congress can’t find anyone other than Nehru/Gandhi family in country loaded with intellectuals and honest and great leaders.

I agree that there is no such thing called Hinduism. It is a foreign word coined by foreign groups who follow ‘true god vs false god’. Bharateeya people follow sanaathana dharma. Let’s remember – A sanaathani will have no problem accepting and respecting foreign religions. It’s the ‘true god – false god’ groups who rejected and distanced themselves from their sanaathana heritage!! Joker Praveena Pinto and his Beef Club bring up the word ‘hinduism’ very selectively. Is he ready to accept that he is also a Hindu going by his own post? Well, don’t hold your breath…

Really sad. He didn’t have to die trying to escape from Police. This incident highlights two bigger issues: 1. Bureaucracy and lack of any comprehensive policy resulting in an artificial shortage of sand 2. Lack of education and opportunities pushing people into Illegal activities In India, we discuss a lot about the first topic. However, we (especially the media) are too afraid to touch the second topic. Similar to minorities here in US, one particular minority in India commits overwhelming amount of illegal activities as compared to the % of total population. They also have tendency to always try and escape from police. We have seen a number of incidents where these guys get involved in high speed chase trying to escape from police while illegally trafficking cows. I wish we had a few true journalists (not stenographers) and independent thinkers (not pseudo, self-declared rationalists) to look into this social issue and help minority community come out of this depressing situation they are currently in. LOL When I talked about Baabar and Aurangazeb, I was specifically referring to atrocities purely based on religious lines. I understand that your foreign masters didn’t teach you this. They only taught you the history of Tipu Sultaana!! What a joker!! @ Roy from Beef club – Your hatred towards RSS and lack of respect towards Hindu suffering in the hands of foreign invaders is not accidental. The religious bigotry and cultural genocide engineered by your foreign masters came to an end only after native Hindu population formed a strong ideological opposition in the name of RSS. Let’s stick to the topic pertaining to celebration of Tipu Jayanti, but this is not to say that anyone is indifferent to the several mass Jihad attacks Akhand Bharath faced mainly coming from the north of the country. M. A. Khan a truthful Indian Muslim has done extensive research and written a great book called “Islamic Jihad” – A legacy of forced Conversion, Imperialism and Slavery. This book is available on Amazon and I would strongly recommend reading it. Another great book is by Bill Durant’s book “The take over of India” the largest single mass massacre of human beings in the History of the World with 80 million dead and counting. But Taqqiya artists, and “Jai Hind-ing” deceivers will start his summer salting the moment they hear the truth.

This is slowly going to change the way people think and behave in public places. As always, good to see Capt. Karnik. What is the point of opening old wounds by celebrating Tipu Jayanthi or building a Rama temple in Ayodhya? The Congress expects political gains from Tipu Jayanthi and the BJP expects political gains from Rama temple by using historical events to mobiliize muslims or hindus. But using historical events prior to the Indian republic to mobilize constituents risks awakening ancient hatreds or creating new ones.

  • From Sheikh on VHP and BD hold 'Hindu Jaya Ghosh, Hindu Palayan nahi Ab Parakram'

The story is the same as before. The communal forces instigate riots by unleashing provocative speeches and hate campaigns in the name of planned or accidental murders or attacks. Consequently, thousands flee their homes leaving all their belongings. The criminals annex those houses and properties. There arises a grievous situation where those flee their homes cannot come back and lead a normal life as before. The government and police are nonchalant and are not ready to take stringent actions to curtail the provocations and arrest the rioters. A probe is declared when there is a voice of protest against the whole happening and customary rehabilitation schemes are announced. That is what happened in Gujarat in 2002 and repeated in Muzaffarnagar in 2014. If Modi was twice elected as chief minister of Gujarat following the communal polarisation, Muzaffarnagar riot has played a large role in reaping huge victory in Uttar Pradesh for BJP in the 16th Lok Sabha election. Forsaking their leader Ajit Singh, the Jat population was marching into Amit Shah’s fold. The recent victory of BJP candidate in the recent by-elections held in the Loksabha constituency which includes Muzaffarnagar, was also a result of the riots. Now, focus has turned to legislative assembly election of 2017. Samajwadi party-led government lacks the firmness and capability to curtail the propaganda of the BJP. If votes of the disparate minorities are split, that is enough for the saffron party to ensure their victory. Nothing but a show strength in an grand preparation for 2018 Karnataka assembly polls using Bajrang dal sister organisation of RSS political wing BJP.The soul purpose of the march is to vitigate peaceful environment of coastal Karnataka in order divide people in communal lines. The latest reports from Karnataka reveal that the Sangh Parivar is all set to make political gains in the 2018 Assembly polls in the state by fomenting more trouble. There are similar experiment prior to Gujarat assembly elections ultimately BJP consolidating majority voters by divisive politics. Victory march from VHP and BD meaningful if casteism completely uprooted, there is no poverty, all sex have same respect and value. Lastly,For Home minister,District administration and law enforcement officers.Under which law of Indian constitution lethal weapon is permissible which even retd. Indian armed forces,ex service people are not allowed? Is those weapons on public display is register under ‘arms act’ is legal or illegal? Why there are no cases if it unregistered and illegal? Finally,For the Hindu upliftment why VHP and BD need weapons? Why not ‘Rozi, roti or makan’? Jai Hind

Will those hands supporting been exports and export policies of PM Modi’s government made ‘Pink revolution’ to become India world No.1 exporter will be spared? Why Bajarangi baijans kept silent when PM Modi was signing 24 agreement with China in 2015 visit, which includes $1 billion worth of beef meat? Everyone knows about the 2001 Parliament attack, where nine Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed militants stormed New Delhi’s British-built Sansad Bhawan only to be challenged and killed by the Delhi Police as well as Parliament Security Services personnel. What is less known is that this was actually the second attempted attack on the Indian Parliament. In 1966, while Indira Gandhi was Prime Minister, a mob – led by a troupe of naked Naga sadhus – attempted to storm Sansad Bhawan, demanding that the Union government impose a national ban on cow slaughter. In the ensuing bedlam, the protestors killed one policeman, while police firing left seven gau rakshaks dead. Indira Gandhi, then a political greenhorn, didn’t flinch either, refusing to ban cow slaughter – a position that even Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party government has stuck to even after more than two years in office. Looking back: The first Parliament attack took place in 1966 – and was carried out by gau rakshaks http://scroll.in/article/814368/did-you-know-the-first-parliament-attack-took-place-in-1966-and-was-carried-out-by-gau-rakshaks The day will be not far away PM Modi who took pride of ‘surgical strike’ of soldiers showing helplessness countering the asli/nakli gau rakshaks and offering them to kill himself will be reality who attacked parliament in the past. “Ghai nahi katne denge, desh nahi batne denge. • From Sheikh on Modi should clean his heart first for Successful Swacch Bharat - Kodijal Ibrahim

PM Modi should first take care of his own wife instead of thinking about Muslim women. It is not marital matters should be priority of the government but social upliftment and empowerment of Muslim women in all sections of life. If the PM Modi is serious about minority muslims upliftment why the government is not implementing the variou committee reports? Why social schemes in his government budget is cut down? Mr.SAS, Nehru was not only the most qualified PM candidate, he was a shrewd politician and negotiator. Gandhi did not support or backup Nehru at every turn without solid reasoning. Even Sardar recognized this, which is the reason why he stepped down. Apart from the popular qualifications attributed to Nehru, here are some of the lesser known ones: Chairman of the maiden 5 year planning commission. Who appointed him? Subhas Chandra Bose. Bose was Congress president at the time and felt that India needed the expertise of Nehru if we wanted to become a industrialized country. The first ever poverty study in India was undertaken by Dadabhai Naoroji. It was a comprehensive study that affects poverty studies done even today. Who was the first politician to take it seriously and formulate policy based on it? Nehru. His policies remain a case study in terms of poverty eradication. Nehru was a visionary. The number of schemes he launched in the first three years have their effects even today – he ordered airdrops of acacia seeds because people had shortage of firewood. People needed trees which grow under harsh conditions and native species did not cut it, so Nehru provided. The species has been classified as a weed today, but never before or after has the needs of the rural poor been addressed directly by a Prime Minister of India in this fashion. Nehru could form great teams without any inherent bias or favoritism – Patel, TT Krishnamachari, C Subramaniam, YB Chavan and Govind Wallabh Pant are great examples of Nehrus choice in people. They were polar extremes in term of ideas. But Nehru could keep them together. Nehru was friendly/maintained relationships with Bose, Gandhi, Ambedkar, Mountbatten and Sardar. All polar figures who had followers of their own. Doesnt that tell you something? Nehru was one of the most admired statesmen of his time. A lesser known fact is that Nelson Mandela (whose primary inspiration is falsely cited as Gandhi) was actually inspired by Nehru. The title of Mandela’s biography, Long Walk to Freedom is actually inspired by one of Nehru’s speeches where Nehru said “there is no easy walk to freedom anywhere”. Nehru laid the foundation for Indian progress in science: Nehru was a staunch atheist and a firm believer that technology would be Indias way out of poverty. Who came up with the idea of IITs and IIMs? Who tried to bring scientists from the Manhattan project back to India appealing to their patriotism? Who funded and encouraged organizations like TIFR, ISRO, INCSR and allowed the new age scientists like APJ to take root? Who envisioned unification of rivers for the very first time? (flawed, but still) Who ran from pillar to post to build Indian steel manufacturing infrastructure? Who initiated the start for Department of Science and Technology? Who set up the 110 odd engineering colleges with government aid? Who wanted the Indian agricultural policy post second 5 year plan as a scientific one? Who went to schools and started the tradition of science fairs in India? Who made the first deal of defense technology transfer to make a jet aircraft? To Mr.SB Sir,Marriage in Islam is a sign of God’s power and glory. The Qur’ãn says: “From His signs is that He has created for you spouses from yourselves so that you may get peace [and tranquility] through them; and He placed between you love and mercy. In these are signs for the people who reflect.” (Surah ar-Room, 30:21) It is to the credit of Islam that it modified and reformed the system in existence at the time. Firstly, of all, Islam put a limit to the numbers of wives that a person can have at one time — maximum of four wives at one time. Secondly, Islam put stringent conditions on a person who wanted to marry a second wife. He must be able to provide and maintain the family, and also deal with both on basis of justice and fairness. In Chapter 4 (Surah an-Nisaa), verse 3, after allowing the Muslim men to marry two, three or four wives, the Qur’ãn immediately says: “but if you fear that you will not do justice (between them), then (marry) only one…” (Surah an-Nisaa, 4:3) Islam is a practical religion; its laws are in line with human nature. It does not deny the natural forces in humans, rather it confronts them and provides guidance to control them without disrupting the peace in society. Almost all Western governments have forbidden polygamy; but adultery is most rampant in these very countries. In spite of all attempts to promote monogamous relationships, many married men have mistresses or are involved in extra-marital affairs resulting in higher divorce rates, broken families and children growing up without fathers. And such kind of behaviour has also touched the highest offices —religious as well as secular— of the United States of America. If a man wants to fool around, Islam will hold him responsible and tie him down to duties towards that “second wife” and her children. Ira Lurvey, of the Family Law section of American Bar Association said, “We are going from monogamy to something called serial monogamy and we have no rules and guidelines; we’re groping in the dark for how to conduct our lives”. 6 Well, in Islam, you do not need to grope in the dark; Islam has given clear guidelines on all kinds of relationships: monogamy to polygamy. I hope that this discourse has helped you in understanding the Islamic view on polygamy as well as the reasons for the Prophet’s marriages. Islam is a religion in tune with human nature and has rules and guidelines for the burning social issues of our time. Jai Hind

Nehru did not do anything during his long regime that merited numerous accolades except consolidating his position and ruling the country as one man show. Congress leaders did not have the courage to stand up against him and consequently, our democracy was compromised in true sense. Congress controlled the country all these years not because of their achievement, but due to projection of Nehru and his family as incarnation of God that fooled the poor and illiterates who continued to remain poor during the Congress regime. Although Mr. Singh was outside the political circle of Nehru family, he acted as a robot, remote controlled by the members of Nehru family. Of course, Mr. Kodijal has a reason to support the Nehru/Gandhi family because of family’s connection that played against the interest our people in Kashmir. Further, Mr. Kodijal must have reason to criticize Mr. Modi in view of Uniform Civil Code that would ban Muslims marrying and keeping any number of wives and depriving them from treating the women as their commodities to satisfy their lust and not real partners in life. True, by UCC, Mr. Modi is depriving Kodijal of “ache din” that was bestowed to him with blessings from Congress.

Nonsense. Most Indian communities trusted Nehru to protect their interests. Have you read any of Nehru’s works? Have you read any of the scholarly works on Nehru. The semi-educated gullible fools may be hoodwinked by anti-Nehru propaganda but educated Indians with a knowledge of Indian history know better.

I did not question the intelligence nor his statesmanship. I still believe that his policies set India back by 20 to 30 years. Yes, Indian history has projected him as a great man and that is also true to all believers who were young and those who were not born. Mr. Roy, you may be an intellectual supporting him for what he was, but many intellectuals feel that he erred in his global policies such as forming a nonaligned coalition that met its early death and India remained backward for decades.

Not sure how many wives Kodijal has, but I guess the move of the center on triple Talaq has irked him so much or his future plans. All right coming to his press conference I would like to clarify 2 things. According to the Quran, Muslims can have more than one wife if one is not able to satisfy his sexual needs. My Question: What about Women ??? If a Husband can’t satisfy her sexual needs?? Just asking in the name of gender equality. Modi visited 46 countries but has never taken his wife. Modi has not gone for honeymoon. Taking family members on Junket on an official trip is only dongi culture. Pratibha Patil used to fly with her entire Rajasthan Patlan. Muthalik is not somebody that I would agree with on many many topics including religion and imaginary gods. But, he is pointing out the hypocrisy of secular activists who are very ‘brave’ to pick on hindus and especially ‘brahmana’ people. But the same guys are shamelessly silent and they go on hiding when you bring up issues associated with a specific minority. To be fair, these hilarious characters are not unique to India. We have plenty of them here in Western society as well!!! How many of these activists have come forward challenging blasphemy laws? How many of these guys are out there fighting for uniform civil code to protect the rights of women in a minority community?

  • From Jay on To Appease Muslims Let CM Observe Abdul Kalam Jayanti - BJP YM

Over the years I have said this several times, and I will never get tired of repeating myself as the truth is very bitter. Tipu was a bigot, a tyrant, and a mass murderer as described by many of the Hindu & Christian historians. But today his supporters call this butcher a “freedom fighter”. This I consider is a slap in the face of all genuine and real freedom fighters the world over. Tipu teamed up with the French to fight the British mainly to expand his kingdom, but he lost most of his fights, and then he had the last fight to keep his life and what was left of his kingdom. During the reign of Hyder Ali & Tipu Sultan father son combine they came into conflict with the Nizam of Hyderabad who was an Indian Muslim king. He then began his conflicts with the Marathas. He also had many conflicts with the Kingdom of Travancore that resulted in the King asking the British for help, and in total they fought 4 (four) Anglo-Mysore wars, and the last culminated in his defeat. Here, what a great “freedom fighter” he was joined hands with the French, weren’t the French as foreign as the British. Then he bottled up the Wodeyar family and confined them to their palaces and he took over their kingdom to become its de facto ruler. Weren’t the Maratha’s, the Nizam of Hyderabad and the Kings of Travancore not Indians????? Time and again we see people like these constantly distorting history, as the truth will never go down the throats of Tipu’s supporters, as many of them are anti national and live here enjoying their lives but their hearts are in Pakistan. The head of Al Qayeda Ayman Al Zawahiri is writing a book on another terrorist Osama Bin Laden, and he is portraying him as a kind and loving man who gave his princely life, and went to Afghanistan for the sake of his Muslim brothers who were being invaded by the Russians. Once he liberated Afghanistan, he then began his fight with the Americans who had bases in his home country in violation of the tenets of what they believe. Less than 10 years after the death of this terrorist master mind, another local terrorist who said that “every Muslim should be a terrorist” considers OBL as a freedom fighter.

  • From Sheikh on No ideological conflicts between Udupi Chalo and Kanaka Nade - Pejawar Swamiji

Vyasaraaya once adviced Kanakadasa to perform a pilgrimage to the famous Udupi temple which enshrines Lord Krishna in the form of a kid, and to sing his songs to the Lord at this sacred place. The head of the Udipi mutt was aware of Vyasaraaya’s and Kanakadasa’s devotion. On Kanakadasa’s arrival at the mutt, he immediately made arrangements for Kanakadasa’s stay in a hut outside the western perimeter of the main temple. The next day, Kanakadasa went for a darshan of the Lord at Udipi. The casteist brahmin priests and attendants did not allow him to enter the main temple, and spoke abusive words to Kanakadasa and turned him back. A dejected and sad Kanakadasa returned to his hut. He took his tamburi and went outside his hut, and started singing his songs in praise of the Lord Sri Krishna. He was completely immersed in and lost in singing about the grace of the Lord, and in pleading with the Lord to shower His mercy and grace on him, and bless him with a vision of His beautiful face. Being His Dasa, he did not ask for any worldly wealth and did not care for it. All he wanted was just a darshan of the Lord. Suddenly there was an earthquake. The western outer wall crumbled, and a few slabs of stone in the inner wall of the sanctum sanctorum cracked open. The idol of Sri Krishna which was originally facing east, turned around and faced Kanakadasa, who was sitting on the western side of the temple. Is the temple inside space or space inside the temple or both temple and space in the eye.-Kanakadasa WHEN the present Paryaya Swamiji of the Krishna temple in Udupi, Vishwapriya Tirtha Swamiji of the Admar Mutt, in what can only be construed as an act of remarkable insensitivity and foolhardiness, had an old structure of disputed antiquity pulled down on August 13, 2004, he could never have fathomed the fallout of his action. The Kanaka Gopura had strong associations with Kanakadasa, the 16th century Bhakti poet-saint. Six months after it was demolished, the controversy refuses to go away. The Paryaya Swamiji promised that the gopura would pave the way for a bigger and grander “rajagopuram”. He argued that the demolished structure was never called the Kanaka Gopura, and was a creation of the media. In other words, he said, if the structure had nothing to do with Kanakadasa, where was the need for all the fuss? The Kurubara Sangha was established in 1910. A major milestone in the religious and cultural consolidation of the community was the establishment of the Kaginele Mahasamsthana Kanaka Gurupeetha at Kaginele near Haveri where the samadhi (grave) of Kanakadasa is located. This has now become the religious and cultural rallying point for the community. The BJP has remained silent over the demolition. Eswarappa, the former State president of the party, was pressured to retract his position on the issue. Former Minister H. Vishwanath said: “The mutt heads and temple priests have not changed their old behaviour of dividing Hindus. Aren’t backward classes and Dalits also Hindu? The Pejawar Mutt’s Vishvesha Tirtha Swamiji, who is the vice-president of the VHP, must answer this.” Today ‘Kanaka Gopura’ came down. To the testimony Kuruba community was granted permission small opening today which takes offerings from the same community in the form of money and material. Upper caste Brahmins were fed in plantain leaf and half left out was then offered for lower caste to to rollover in spiritual belief of eradicating skin disease. PM Modi’s India is talking about ‘Digital India’ when it comes to mutt in Udupi Superstitions continue to prevail and promoted to dominate the weakest section of society. ‘Mera Desh Badal Raha Hai, Aage Badh Raha Hai’ surely not for lower caste of India who were dominated by mere percentage of Brahmins. The Congress has lost a great chance of reviving party fortunes in the undivided Canara striking under the table deal with Sangh parivar which is still run by the old party stalwart. Namo founder Naresh shenoy prosecution may have seriously dented the BJP image in the center and regional level. The RSS which has considerable influence in the law enforcement and judicial system kept the mass media away from highlighting the issue. In the same time delay tactics applied by the law enforcement gave enough time to destroy all the evidence. The regional media very effectively diverted the citizens attention by misinformation about his whereabouts in the meantime accused enjoyed safe heaven provided by powerful sitting peoples representatives. His conviction may have exposed the sitting MP’s and MLA’s nexus in district of Mangalore,Chikmangalore and Udupi which party will never like to lose its strong base. There is huge nexus between Sangh parivar ,law enforcement ,judicial, people’s representative and powerful religious leaders in this district which made the bail easy. Namo may be free bird today. • From Sheikh on Intellectuals should dare to enter Mosques instead of Sri Krishna Math: Pramod Muthalik

Caste-based temple controversies are nothing new. Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was stopped at the gates of the Jagannath temple in Puri as she was deemed an outcast for marrying a non-Hindu. In 2014, a temple in Bihar’s Madhubani district was “purified” — the shrine cleaned and its idols washed — after a visit by then chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, a member of the Musahar community. Caste-centric discrimination, or untouchability, was banned in India in 1955, but centuries-old feudal attitudes persist in many parts of the country and Dalits, who represent 16% of the country’s population, still face prejudice in every sector. They are sometimes beaten or killed for using a well or worshipping at a temple. In a first-of-its-kind study on a large scale, representing 98,000 Dalits across 1,655 villages in Gujarat. it comes out that 97 % respondents feel they have ‘no entry’ at certain places in their own villages, including a temple or where a religious ceremony is taking place. Mahatma Gandhi himself wrote about the problem of untouchability in Gujarat when he set about establishing a base in Ahmedabad. He said in his writings that when he insisted on keeping a Dalit (‘Harijan’ as he insisted on calling them) in his ashram here, people started shying away. Even sponsors developed cold feet and funds started drying up. Bapu put his foot down and had his way. Almost 95 years later, Gujarat is still not listening to the Mahatma even as the world tuned in. The bar for Dalits is felt at not only temples but also ‘satsangs’ and ‘kathas’. At these religious events, not being able to sit on a cot/chair with other upper castes, has been clearly established as a sign of untouchability. The study has been carried out by Ahmedabad-based Navsarjan Trust with three US-based organisations — the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, Dartmouth College at the University of Michigan and Robert F. Kennedy Centre for Social Justice and Human Rights, Washington, DC. Pejwar head should be spearhead movement in abolishing discrimination instead he encourage practice of roll over on the left overs of higher caste which has medically proven no benefit. I concur with Mr.Narendra Nayak statement. Rama sena chief should be free to visit any mosques of his choice.I can arrange church entry to both Ram sena Chief and Pejawar through my old friends of Udupi Diocese. Jai Hind

Dear Pujya Shri. Swamiji, Kindly invite a few Daliths to the temple, sit with them and eat your lunch. Show the people you really mean to say that you are treating everyone equally for the last 45 years. Those who want to eat separately, let them find their own place to eat, but do not discriminate by designating separate Punkti for Brahmins or other castes. When Brahmin admits ICU, does he have a choice who can treat him? When he was arrested and interrogated in the Police Station, does he have a choice that only a Brahmin police can beat him up? Or does he have a choice in the Bus, Train, Plaine or in the restaurant to sit separately. If a Brahmin can travel in Mangalore city bus in the peak hours, he can sit with anyone. Why all this Natak.

As per BJP APJ Abdul Kalam is a renowned Indian scientist key player in Indian space research/Indian missile programs appointment as 11th President to appease minority Muslims? Did this yuva BJP protesting group read the “Wings of Fire” is an autobiography of APJ Abdul Kalam written jointly by Arun Tiwari and Abdul Kalam? In the book we learn how Kalam started his career in Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) and was involved in the design of a hovercraft. Later he moved to Indian Space Research which was the brain child of Vikram Sarabhai. In 1963, Kalam went to NASA facility in Maryland(USA) as part of a training program on sounding rocket launching techniques. There he came across a painting which depicted Tipu Sultan’s rocket warfare against the British, Here, I saw a painting prominently displayed in the reception lobby. It depicted a battle scene with a few rockets flying in the background. A painting with this theme should be the most commonplace thing at a Flight Facility, but the painting caught my eye because the soldiers on the side launching the rockets were not white , but dark-skinned, with the racial features of people found in South Asia. One day, my curiosity got the better of me, drawing me towards the painting. It turned out to be Tipu Sultan’s army fighting the British. The painting depicted a fact forgotten in Tipu’s own country but commemorated here on the other side of the planet. I was happy to see an Indian glorified by NASA as a hero of warfare rocketry. Does it not amount to insulting Kalam who hailed Tipu Sultan who fought against British as the pioneer of rocket science? If this group can form ‘Rayana Brigade’ who also fought against the common enemy, why Tipu sultan only? Jai Hind

I love how these ‘secular’ parties have absolutely no problem in approving discrimination of women in the name of religion!!! The parties like Congress, JDS should be ashamed of themselves for taking away dignity and equal opportunity from minority women. If you think I am wrong, do a simple test. Assuming that you have a job, look around at your workplace and see how many minority women are working!! No – I am not talking about Catholics here as they respect their women and encourage them to go out and enjoy the freedom. On a different note, it is interesting to see how ‘appa-maga’ party is copying Congress party. From its ‘vote bank’ politics to ‘white shirt’ uniform, they are copying everything!!! LOL

LOL Why do you think countries from Morocco to Pakistan have constitution and legal system based on a religion? Sure, you don’t want others to do what your folks are demanding all over the world? Very clever!! smiles… Also, you don’t need to feel guilty or apologetic for hurting hindu’s belief/sentiments. You are very safe in India where it’s an open season on hindus. “raama and krishna…consumed non-vegetarian food” – report quoting a politician True – raama and krishna consumed non-vegetarian food. He forgot to share a few more things – there were no toilets back then. Also, both Raama and Krishna practiced monarchy, there was no democracy. Are we supposed to reject all the developments since then and go back to those days? In fact, if you go back long enough, you would realize that our ancestors were living in caves!! Should we go back to those days? The practice of vegetarian food is one of the many things human beings adopted as we became more civilized. Recognition of equal rights, democracy, animal rights and many other social developments happened as part of this project called civilization. Continuation of medieval practices in the name of religion is irrational.

  • From Sheikh on Lord Rama and Krishna were non-vegetarians - Pramod Madhwaraj

We have to remember that Sri Rama belongs to Kshatriya clan. And, meat eating and alcohol consumption are not prohibited for people belonging to Kshatriya clan. So he might have consumed both meat and alcohol till he went for 14 years exile period into Dandaka forest. There are a significant number of passages in Valmiki Ramayana where the principal characters used meat in their religious rites and daily diet. Here are some of the passages with original quotes. It was meat that would not be acceptable today to a typical Hindu. It included wild boar (wild pig) and reptile meat (mangoose or varamus)! From Ayodhya Kandam:52: As Sita crosses Ganga she promises to Ganga what she will offer on safe return: “thousand pots of spirituous liquor and jellied meat with cooked rice (basically briyani)” http://www.valmikiramayan.net/ayodhya/sarga52/ayodhya_52_frame.htm suraaghaTasahasreNa maamsabhuutodanena cha | yakshye tvaam prayataa devi puriim punarupaagataa || 2-52-89 “Oh, goddess! After reaching back the city of Ayodhya, I shall worship you with thousand pots of spirituous liquor and jellied meat with cooked rice well prepared for the solemn rite.” This is the last sloka in the same chapter as above: tau tatra hatvaa caturaH mahaa mR^igaan | varaaham R^ishyam pR^iSatam mahaa rurum | aadaaya medhyam tvaritam bubhukSitau| vaasaaya kaale yayatur vanaH patim || 2-52-102 102. hatvaa= having killed; tatra= there; chaturaH= four; mR^igaan= deer (namely); varaaham= Varaaha; R^ishyam= Risya; pR^ishhatam= PR^isata; mahaaruru= (and) Mahaaruru; (the four principal species of deer); aadayaa= and taking; tvaritam= quickly; medhyam= the portions that were pure; tou= Rama and Lakshmana; bubhukshhitou= being hungry as they were; yayatuH= reached; vanaspatim= a tree; vaasayaa= to take rest; kaale= in the evening. Having hunted there four deer, namely Varaaha, Rishya, Prisata; and Mahaaruru (the four principal species of deer) and taking quickly the portions that were pure, being hungry as they were, Rama and Lakshmana reached a tree to take rest in the evening. For a solid book on how meat eating including beef eating thrived in Vedic period and continued much later see D.N. Jha’s “The Myth of the Holy Cow” which was originally banned by the BJP administration. Mixing politics with religion doesn’t suit well with Minister Madhwaraj. Note: This are the extraction from Valmiki Ramayan. I have no intention to enrage anyone’s belief. Jai hind

Know why? here goes: Way back then – in Saudi.. we had a roommate. He had passed his 4th std (as compared to our 3rd fail). He claimed to be a Proj Mgr. But then, Moosa Abu Falafel Bin Shawarma (our goat/sheep owner) thought otherwise. Nonetheless, out of ‘rispetto’, we gave him THE top most post – our TOP MOST bunk bed. He seemed happy. He was talented. Very much so. Almost EVERY night, he would take out his ….-hide covered Mridangam and bang – “I Want to BREAK FREEEE I want to break Freeeeeeeeeeeee….. He wanted to go to Yumreeka. So we helped him go get his dream. U see, we were all shepherds.. goats-men.. cow-herders.. One fine day, some whitey came to Saudi. Since ONLY rampa knew some malayalam, we sent him to greet John Kori. JK was sooooo impressed wirh our Rampa… he took him away…to Yumreeka. As I had clearly predicted in my previous post, this event has delivered on its anti-brahmana agenda. These are a fading group of ‘bandaaaya’ activists from Lankesh-era (late 80s to early 90s). No wonder Lankesh’s daughter was invited to this event. To be fair, country still needs to do a lot more to make lives of Dalits better. However, these raging activists and their anti-capitalism agenda combined with brahmana-dhwesha have been rejected by society since mid-90s. People have realized that quality education, high paying jobs and capitalism are far better than politics of rage and hatred.

To be become Gujarat CM ‘Godhra’ was orchestrated. To become PM they used ‘Love Jihad’ Muzzafarnagar. Now to win assembly election in UP, Punjab and Goa in order to gain a full majority in ‘Rajya Sabha’, soldiers martyrdom is in Gamble. Indian soldier is captive in Pakistan, Defence minister is taking ‘victory march’. Some Judges can be brought by money but blood stains of Godhra will never be washed away. Why there should be hype for covert operations in media? If the surgical strike is the fact upload the videos (excluding doctored) in government public domain and prove the Pakistani’s are liars. Vehicle convoy was allowed in the common waiting area and was back to back with no room to move for other passengers with lugguage.

A week ago, I had clearly predicted that there would be more arrests in this case. In fact, I had also predicted the profile of people involved in these cases. This is the statistical significance of not ignoring facts, reality and common pattern. (Joker Pinto – Are you listening?) Now, this is the same trend we have witnessed in more than 25-30 incidents at Mangalore Vimaana Nildaana. Still, we see a reluctance from all pseudo-intellectual circles to acknowledge and more importantly question the root of this cultural failure. Is it self-censorship due to fear, lack of intellectual honesty or overwhelming hatred towards sanaathana dharma? Answer – All of the above!!

Chandigarh was know to be one of the best planned urban city of India even PM Modi in not even CM of Gujarat. The city of Jaipur one of India’s best planned city, named after it’s founder Maharaja Jaisingh II.Mughal emperor Shahjahan in 1639 was the mark of the shift of the capital of the great Indian rulers to its roots. It is said that it was better planned than Agra (a non-walled city), therefore also more secure. Fatehpur Sikri, located just few miles from Agra, today a ghost city (Unesco heritage), was constructed by Akbar in honor of his son prince Salim (Jahangir) and served as capital between 1571 and 1585. The site is the most dramatic physical expression of Akbar’s concept of kingship and his genius, and he is believed to have been intimaly involved with the planning and construction of the city.In there are many examples of colonial British,Portugees left foot print of urban landscape is still well known fact. Gujarat Model is still myth. But India is far developed before Modi is born.

  • From J Dsa USA on Mother and Son Killed in Ghastly Road Mishap near Lemina cross Nitte

I just can’t help but be brutally honest. This accident wasn’t entirely the fault of the Mini van driver. Driving a Nano in itself is buying your ticket out of this world. Has that car passed a satisfactory test and complies to regulations for safety. The answer is a resounding “No”. Our government pleases the lobby’s that scratch their back and hence make decisions that tend to profit the selfish gains of these lobby’s and that’s how these cars are in the market. And we citizens never look into the greater detail of anything because we are so used to living an ignorant life and we will continue to live a life of ignorance as our attitude has always and will always be – ’till the problem reaches my door its not my problem’. This is probably one incident that is on the website I visit. Nano has caused so many deaths you’d be surprised how this vehicle is still on the road. In countries like US, EU or Germany the plant would have been shut down long ago, the manufacturing division would have to come up with answers on how the car collapses like a pack of cards. But that’s not the case in India. Interestingly, during a recent visit to India I passed a Maruti van which had children loaded like poultry chicken. 3 kids sitting in the passenger seat next to the driver. After the ghastly incident in Kundapur I imagined or rather expected – 1. Kids wouldn’t be transported like poultry to and from school. 2. A reliable vehicle that has good safety standard will be used to transport kids. But when I voiced my opinion about it – the Driver of the car I was riding put a point – A reliable vehicle is heavier due to good metal body. A heavier vehicle causes decreases in mileage earned with per litre of patrol/diesel. So how many people can afford a reliable vehicle.” We always look at small gains that’s how we have always been and our memory is so short lived that Life moves on as normal after a major incident. No one cares to come up with a prevention or correction plan so future incidents result in lower casualties. Unfortunately with this attitude we can never expect something to change for the better. 20 years from now India will still be the same. Probably death and tragedy may be the norm of one’s day to day life and nobody’s conscious will stop to think or analyse this as it becomes a part of one’s life.
